History is not some malleable lump, subject to opinions about what it SHOULD be. That's why there's history and pseudohistory. And believe me, what you and your ilk at Moonbattery wish history really were most definitely falls into the latter camp.

Yes there is a Scientific Method to History. It's call Archeology, Geology, and Paleontology. It used EVIDENCE (aka FACTS) to draw conclusions...not Use conclusions and pick evidence.

The History Channel was labelled the "Hitler Channel" for many years because the programming was dominated by WW2 material in general in addition to material related to Hitler. The History Channel responded to this criticism by airing new programs that were more tenuously linked to history and eventually moved into reality television. The history channel is now dominated by supernatural speculation and irrelevant reality shows.

Yes, the same History Channel that dedicates time to promoting the 2012 apocalypse, the Rapture, Nazi UFOs, Nostradamus predictions, ancient aliens and stories about Hitler's bodyguards, Hitler's family, Hitler's mental illnesses, Hitler Hitler Hitler...

History Channel? The channel that used to show programming on various parts of history?
Last time I watched it, it was all about WW2, UFOs, the occult, Hitler's occultism, Hitler's UFOs, Nostrodamus, and bible prophecies.
I hear it's gotten worse.
Now what was that about "disgusting revisionism"?
Edit:
I see I'm not the only one that's seen it go downhill. Reality shows?!? Really? Next we'll see something like wrestling on the Science Fiction channel!

Fascists? If anything, Mexico is perilously close to dissolving into competing criminal fiefdoms.
As for the mythical ancestral homeland of Aztlan, well, the peoples of Central and South America apparently did get there by traveling south. I wouldn't worry about it, though, the Hopi, Navaho, and other US tribes are intent on hanging onto their land.
Wonder what he thinks of the History Channel prograns about the "real Jesus" and the Magdalene.

Light Speed Luchadores, coming to the SyFy channel in 2012. You heard it here first.

THey call History Channel, Hitler Channel, because of its WW2 programming, this just shows a hatred of war veterans.
Had a hearty lol at this. Made me remember the good old days when the History Channel lived up to its name.
If anything, people hate the History Channel now because a typical day consists of Nostradamus, dudes who either run pawn shops or buy old crap from hoarders, and ancient aliens lunacy. They've gone pretty much the same route as Discovery/TLC. Quasi-educational reality garbage feeling around for that crossover hit to pull in MTV viewers.
Seriously I miss the days when the History Channel could be counted on for solid documentaries and educational programming 24/7.

I think this should be in RSTDT. After all, this is pretty much a rant about mexicans.

Well that is the reason they call it the idiot box... these "educational" channels NEVER stay that way for long... History is now Nostradamus, Hitler, Bible code, Hitler, crop circles, Hitler's psychoses, Mayan calendar bullshit, New Age nonsense, Ancient Astronauts, Nostradamus, and more Hitler.

Doubting ThomasNo, we call it the Hitler Channel because they often do show a lot of WWII documentaries, but I can't seem to understand how you think this shows a hatred of war veterans. If anything, they honor veterans by showing how necessary their sacrifice was to defeat an evil ideology. Or at least they
used to show a bunch of WWII documentaries. Now it's all reality shows, doomsday scenarios, speculative pseudoscience and woo shows. I mean really, what do a bunch of guys cutting down trees have to do with history?

Justin, the History Channel was nicknamed the "Hitler Channel" because it *used* to have a lot of educational shows about wars (and other topics). But like most other channels, it's gone to shit the past 6-7 years. Now all they show is Nostradamus, Richard Hoagland ranting about aliens on the moon, pawn shops, and 400-lb. truck drivers driving across the Siberian tundra. It's sad.

LOL
"the far-left hatred of other viewpoints is disgusting"
You mean when people ask you to use facts and logical arguments? There are some things that don't have two sides. Sorry for calling you out on your bogus claims.

These Mexican fascists who want steal our land are disgusting people
Yes. How dare they get angry for their land being "liberated" in an unjustified American war of aggression? I mean, it's not like California, New Mexico and Arizona and Texas ever belonged to Mexico, right? They just sort of appeared with American flags flying over them.
Learn history before you start spouting off about it, douchebag.

It's sad how both the History & Scifi channels went downhill. I would welcome the WW2 Docs with open arms...sure beats that Ice Road Truckers, Aliens bs that they now show ... Scifi is the same way they threw out fanasty & Scifi stuff like Dark Shadows, and replaced it with wrestling & infomercials...so sad...

@ "Syfy" comments
If I recall correctly I think they changed the name to SyFy to *emphasize* that they were moving into different formats. I don't think they have drifted quite as far as the history channel but i don't know I haven't really watched it since they switched it.

From the Wikipedia article:
> Aztlán (from Nahuatl: Aztlan, pronounced ['ast?a?n]) is the mythical ancestral home of the Nahua peoples,
The article already STARTS with a statement that Aztlán is a myth. But then again, you're from Moonbattery - myths are real for you.
