Quote# 81475

I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States . . . [W]e have to show that we are inextricably entwined, that as a nation we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel, and if we reject Israel, then there is a curse that comes into play. And my husband and I are both Christians, and we believe very strongly the verse from Genesis [Genesis 12:3], we believe very strongly that nations also receive blessings as they bless Israel. It is a strong and beautiful principle.

i know that it goes against your basic nature, but try to be honest for a minute, bitch! The only reason you're sucking zionist cock is that you're convinced that Israel existing is a prerequisite for your Whooshfest is to happen. If not for that (retarded and unbiblical) doctrine you'd be calling Jews Christ-killers and wishing for new pogroms...

Sucking up to the Jewish vote, Michele?

"I am convinced in my heart and in my mind ..."

I think 'mind' is a bit of an overstatement.

@ Adrian
I can't believe you just used the word pogrom in context. High five!

"And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

Point out the Israel in this, Michelle.

Fuck Israel. They're mean and ugly enough to look after themselves.

I am convinced in my heart and my mind that islam is the real religion, so the dopy doctrine in your false religion is a load of crap.

I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States . . .

This might actually be true, but of course not for the strange reason "Michele Bachmann" proposes here (a curse from a fictional entity):

When Israel loses its dominant position in the Middle East, the power structure and the Status Quo there gets incalculably shaken and re-adjusted. That means a huge risk for the continuous oil supply to the fossile fuel addicted USA.

you believe in faeries and curses? grow the fuck up already.

you know, they're hailing this idiot as the next Palin and want to put her up as a presidential candidate. THAT scares me.

I think "heart" is a bit of an overstatement too.

Letting what the Bible (supposedly) says dictate our foreign policy: okay

Letting what the Bible actually says dictate what seafood restaurants are allowed to serve, how farmers are allowed to plant crops, what clothes people are allowed to wear, tax policy, healthcare policy, business ethics: Hey let's not go too crazy alright?

Um, ma'am? European countries are nowhere near as supportive of Israel as the United States, and they seem fine. You didn't even give a logical sequence of events from "The United States no longer unilaterally supporting Israel" to "the downfall of the United States".

By the way, I would not have a problem with unilaterally supporting Israel if the Israelis were not excessively cruel to the Palestinians, but sadly they have essentially stooped down to the level of the dictatorships around them. That being said, they're still light-years better than all their neighbors. But that does not excuse your blatant non sequitur.

You know.. I'm not all up on the topic.. but from what I hear and read and even see on Youtube, Israel is kind of a shit ally. Can someone point out to be an event where Israel pulled its weight so that I at least have that to try and counter what appears to be nothing more than a spoiled brat of a nation?

Also.. Bachmann scares the hell out of me in all honesty.

we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel

Oh is that what you call terrorist attacks now?

You see StoneSpiral, it's quite simple: by backing up truckloads of cash to Israel, we buy the favor of God. It doesn't matter if Israel is a modern day apartheid state and Netanyahu tries to jerk the USA around like we're his personal checking account, that nation just fell out of the sky one day and they're entitled to do whatever they want.

Zionism is to judaism, what Nazism was to christianity.
The zionist forces in Palestine are no more representative of the jewish faith than the SS sonderkomando forces in Russia were representative of christianity.

There are good jews, and those jews should be protected by the same principles and laws as everyone else... but the zionists are a criminal gang who cower behind the name of judaism while engaging in open, colonialist genocide.

She's not talking about the same Jews that run the liberal media? Is she?
oh, only the Jews in Israel!

So, standing with Israel, no matter what nonsense that government gets up to, is a "strong and beautiful principle?" What about standing with humanitatian ideals and good sense? And, of course, believing in a curse is the same as believing in magic, which is a hallmark of poor thinking and bad judgement.

How about we stop mollycoddling Israel and let them stand on their own two feet. You know, like sovereign nations are supposed to.

No you dumb fuck... How this mentally retarded imbecile got elected is a mystery but then again, this is the US so they elect any idiot they can find.

Even though I know Israel is USA's 51st state, nothing is going to happen to the US if Israel disappears.

"then there is a curse that comes into play"

Oh noes, not an unnamed, unproven, supernatural curse!
Does this curse include basically creating and upholding the military forever and basically keeping the country a country regardless of the tension it causes?

"I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States"

To my knowledge, the UK doesn't 'stand' with Israel (at least, not as much as your country claims to; inasmuch as your so-called 'support' is actually purely for the sake of you fundies' own 'Apocalypse/Second Coming' BS purposes, otherwise, it'd be a case of 'Fuck the Jews!').

Yet, it was Britain who gave Palestine to the Jews, so they could create their own country, 'Israel' in the first fucking place.

That was in 1948. We're still here. Your argument is not only invalid; and isn't just blown out of the water, but out of the space-time continuum as a whole, Michele.

Let me get this straight. We are "blessed" because of our support of Israel. If so, were we not "blessed" before Israel was founded in 1947?

I know that Batscat Shelly can't be bothered with any concept not found in the Buybull but even she can't be suggesting we gave a rat's ass about Israel before the current country of that name was founded by seizing the best farmland in the area for a bunch of dispossessed European Jews.
