Atheism and Evolution don't work like that you nimrod.
Please return to whatever basement you crawled out of and do not return to the internets until you can understand reality.

Everyone has a religion and a god. Yours religion is atheism and your god is nature
"Navaros", did you just involuntarily admit that this "god" you are talking about is a human invention?
When you claim that our "god" is allegedly nature, you say implicitly that "god" is something that somebody can choose for himself. Or in other words: "god" is a human invention. Nothing but a cultural phenomenon.
Were your christian "god" really the "universal truth", I would have no other choice but to accept him. Obviously this isn't the case.

Of course, in Navaros's quote, there's no truth or logic or basic understanding of language, other than the fact that language can be a quick method of disseminating lies, as well as being an excellent indicator of the user's mental health and intelligence.
But, for the sake of argument, let's assume that Navaros's drivel is true. If so then:-
Nature = is reality.
Christian God = fantasy.
Nature = an environment in which we must survive.
Christian God = the dread figurehead (albeit an invisible one) of a sad and evil death cult.
Nature = the only known realm of existence.
Christian God = the psychotic authority figure who whisks people off to other fantasy realms, all of them unpleasant sounding, except to a snarling psychopath.
Nature = the closest approximation to truth as far as humans are concerned.
Christian God = the supremacy of drooling morons who want to be staring-eyed tent commanders.

Good grief, after 4 years, good old Narvie is STILL going on about the exact same things. I don't get why the IMDB boards don't kick him out, he's a broken record and completely deaf to counterarguments.

Amazing. And here I thought I didn't actually have a religion or a God. Oh well, someone I've never met probably knows better...

Stop telling me what I think and believe at once.
When you do, I'll stop beating you into the ground while explaining to you the concept of arrogant presumption.

Yours religion is atheism
re·li·gion
noun \ri-'li-j?n\
Definition of RELIGION
1: the state of a religious <a nun in her 20th year of religion> b (1) : the service and worship of God or the supernatural (2) : commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance
2: a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : conscientiousness
4: a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
Only the archaic definition is even remotely usable toward atheism (even then an atheist is not necessarily scrupulous) and I doubt that's the one you're using.
your god is nature
god
noun \'gäd also 'go?d\
Definition of GOD
1 capitalized : the supreme or ultimate reality: as a : the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe b Christian Science : the incorporeal divine Principle ruling over all as eternal Spirit : infinite Mind
2: a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship; specifically : one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality
3: a person or thing of supreme value
4: a powerful ruler
So we clearly don't worship the Christian god so definition 1 does not apply and nature is not a person so 3 and 4 go out the window. That leaves us with 2 and it contradicts your statement as nature cannot, by definition, be a god as it cannot be beyond itself.

Non-belief isn't a religion dumbass. Does one's lack of belief in Bigfoot or the Chupacabra, two cryptids commonly felt to have not met their burden of proof for official acknowledgement, constitute a religion too?
This moronic yet infuriatingly evergreen meme, the idea that non-belief in a God or what the hell ever requires either the same or more faith than a belief in God or what the hell ever, will never go away, because morons think it's a devastating argument.
If you have two options, "belief" and "non-belief", and the "belief" option hasn't met its burden of proof, it will never take the same or more faith to choose "non-belief". This is true for anything, including God/the supernatural.

Theism = a belief in one or more gods.
A-theism = NOT-a belief in one or more gods
The question is, are you redefining atheism or god? I call foul on your definition of god. You state god is nature which changes the definition of god to the point where it has no real meaning. A pair of trousers could be a god. "I worship the trousers that cling to him..." Navaros, I think your bewitched, bothered and bewildered.

Everyone has a way to restrain themselves from immoral acts. Yours is to be terrified that a giant man with a long white beard who lives on clouds will torture you forever after you're dead. Ours is to have moral standards.

Just because I believe that destroying our only habitable planet before finding another within traveling distance is not in humanity's best interest does not make nature my god.
Destroying nature will not suddenly make your nonexistent god appear.

Funny, I don't recall praying to any personifications of nature within my lifetime. I guess I'm doing this whole non-religious thing wrong then.
I don't recall anyone in the scientific community claiming nature has supernatural properties. Indeed, that falls outside of the natural world by definition. What 'powers' are you dreaming up?

"Everyone has a religion and a god. Yours religion is atheism"
Pop quiz, hotshot: Where are our 'churches'? What is our Bible? And who, pray, do we pay our 'tithes' to?! You tell me. And if we Atheists are in a 'religion', then who's going to pay our tax rebate, backdated, and with interest? You & your fundie ilk? It's you who make that initial claim after all. Better unchain those wallets then, Navaros and co. - because you've got untold billions to fork out to us.
...what's that? You aren't? Well then. I guess Atheism isn't a 'religion' then.
And you've just annihilated your own argument, Navaros.
PROTIP: Here in the UK, $cientology isn't officially recognised (certainly legally) as a religion. Thus the Orgs here have to pay tax. So, what was that you were saying, Navaros?

Atheism does NOT have a god you dipshit. And no evolution does NOT give powers, it merely states that organisms adapt to their environments. I really hope you are trolling. if not you are one very stupid person.
