Quote# 8188

As a gift, I'll give you something you can use as evolution evidence from the Bible (though it wasn't random) that gives the link between snakes, lizards and birds. You may already know this but the snake that was possesed by the devil used to have feathers and lost them as well as its legs, leaving the vestigial legs on boas and anacondas as remains. Strange that those 3 animals are related by science as well. That actually works to sway the most stubborn Christian to believe in a small part of what you believe.

Wow, this guy's user name is pretty appropriate, it's hard to believe he's any higher than primordial ooze.

No kidding. It probably took those molecules several million years to think of what to write.

Well, looking at the ostrich and some of the bipedal dinosaurs, gee, there might even be a link.

Considering the Torah is penned after the fact, well, never mind...

Those three animals are not related by science, they are related according to their DNA, and ALL life-forms are related with each other, not just these three. Besides, it was the other way around with the feathers; some of the dinosaur species evolved into birds, acquiring feathers in the process.

We dont' believe; we accept reality.

There are species of lizard that have no legs. There is no reference in scripture to lizards losing their legs to explain this. Either your god was very clumsy with its curse, certain lizards were conspiring with the snake in ways your bible does not record, or evolution was involved.

Consider that a re-gifting.

There are feathered boas in the bible?

I did a search for "Feathered Serpent Of Eden" and found only links to Mayan myth, which doen't have an the same eden.
So I did the search on "Serpent Of Eden" and found no mention of feathers or any denomination dogmatically describing or depicted it as such.
Anyone know where he pulled that from?

And is he actually suggesting we Evolution believers use Christian hoo-doo divine magic to explain evolution to creationist believers? Kinda self defeats the argument and buggers the true process, not even a good route for Catholics .
