<p>everyone can probably say that humans do have "souls" unlike any other animals. Evolution cannot develop "souls", which means they would either have to conclude all living things have souls, or nothing has souls. Personally, i think we do have souls. We do feel love, we do get bored, we do get entertained, we feel sympathy, we feel pain, we have hopes, friendship unlike any other animals.

If I have a soul, my cat does. If he doesn't, I don't (and wouldn't want one). People who think so little of nonhuman animals probably don't treat the human kind very well either, not to mention that they miss out on some of life's greater joys. How very sad.
My cats love me. My brother's cat loves everybody. They meow when they're bored, they're entertained by bugs and string, they cuddle up to me and purr when I'm crying (indicating sympathy), they howl if someone steps on their tail (pain), they are ever-hopeful I will give them a treat, and they are friends with each other.

Also, animals don't get bored or entertained? They don't feel pain or form friendships?
You don't sound like a total crazy, so I suggest you reevaluate your position and the premises you base this on.
Animals don't feel sadness? Happiness? Pain? Tell that to all pet-owners in the world!

No, I cannot. Empathy is an evolutionary trait.
My cat gets bored, he probably does love me, he is definitely entertained by my antics, he does feel sympathy when I am sad, he does feel pain (he was close to dying at one point, due to liver failure).
Basically then, you think that consciousness as we possess it is 1. fundamentally different from other animals' consciousness and 2. could have developed through evolution.
1 is just wrong. There are differences, of course, but things like sympathy, pain, and friendship are readily observed in other animals.
2 may be true, but is essentially just incredulity. There is no hard evidence either way, but it isn't implausible.
"We do feel love" ever seen a dog protect his master or the masters newborn? Ever saw elephants and dolphin moan their dead? Don't fucking tell me they don't feel love.
I would introduce you to my pet Galah but he is probably dead now, I had to give him away about 30 years ago.
He was bored, didnt play with his toys much and plucked his feathers. I also had a parrot that would not leave its friend when it died, he just sat next to the body, preened the feathers and chirped.
Call it what you will, but I say friendship or love, sympathy and boredom all in a bird.
Prove you have a soul.
