There is room for debate about whether the Founding Fathers were indeed Christian (I've seen several sources argue that most were deists). But even if they were, they certainly did not intend it to be a Christian theocracy.

Actually, Russians found this country first, crossing the land bridge over the Bering Strait and settling into various aboriginal tribes. So, Lewis, what's your pick for the deserving rulers of this country: Injuns or Commies? :P

Yeah Caphi kinda beat me into it. The mongols (long before they were Mongols per se) crossed the Bering Straight and became Eskimos (Inuit Indians), as well as moving South to become the Indians of both Americas.
