Quote# 82868

It's not only greenhouse gas emissions: Washington's new world order weapons have the ability to trigger climate change.

By Michel Chossudovsky - Professor of Economics, University of Ottawa and TFF associate, author of The Globalization of Poverty, second edition, Common Courage Press

The important debate on global warming under UN auspices provides but a partial picture of climate change; in addition to the devastating impacts of greenhouse gas emissions on the ozone layer, the World's climate can now be
modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated "non-lethal weapons." Both the Americans and the Russians have developed capabilities to manipulate the World's climate.

In the US, the technology is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Aural Research Program (HAARP) as part of the ("Star Wars") Strategic Defence Initiative (SDI). Recent scientific evidence suggests that HAARP is fully operational and has the ability of potentially triggering floods, droughts, hurricanes and earthquakes.

From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction. Potentially, it constitutes an instrument of conquest capable of selectively destabilising agricultural and ecological systems of entire regions.

Dr. Chossudovski, you are a professor of economics. Why are you even opining on something outside of your field of expertise? I'm sure you'd take offense to a dorctor of theoretical physics trying to tell everyone how the global economic system works.

TL;DR: "I don't know what it's for so I'll pull something out of my ass."

Chossudovsky is a conspiracy fanatic. Nothing more. Look up the BS he's said about the Yugoslav civil war and 9/11.

Standards getting low at Ottawa U., or what?

7/28/2011 3:40:37 AM

Comrade Potatovich

How the fuck can it trigger both climate-related disasters AND earthquakes? Does it manipulate the four classical elements or whatever?

Also, WMDs are not assassination weapons like the "Bulgarian umbrella"- that is, secret weapons and all that. They are more of a shotgun you wave around to scare people and get them to do what you say.

This is the best analysis of HAARP I've ever seen:

(Sorry, I don't know how to add links here.)

Doubting Thomas

I'm so sick of all the HAARP conspiracy theories. How the hell can a radio signal trigger floods, droughts, hurricanes, or earthquakes? I love how conspiracy theorists like to claim that it was responsible for Katrina & other natural disasters that occurred here in the U.S. Sure, the government wants to spend millions of dollars on a radio station in Alaska which will cause natural disasters which will cost billions of dollars to clean up. Makes perfect sense to me.

I've even heard HAARP signals on my shortwave radio a couple times and received QSL cards from the station after writing to them. If it's such a highly top-secret weapon, why would they acknowledge that it even exists?

Stay as an economist and let somebody who knows his shit deal with HAAAAAAAAAARRRRRP.

Economists are like nutritionists. About three of them are worth your time. Mostly it's about the science of "stating the bleedin' obvious".

Raised by Horses

The U.S. government has infinitely more subtle weapons at its fingertips than this nonsense.

Being that you are (supposedly) a professor of economics, perhaps you're familiar with this saying: "Economics is a gun. Politics is knowing when to pull the trigger."

Brendan Rizzo

Wow, this is probably the first conspiracy theory I've ever seen that admits that climate change is happening. (This month has been really good for CSTDT, hasn't it?)

So, this man lives in Canada. His first name, "Michel" is French-- he was most likely born in Quebec. His last name is probably either Russian or Ukrainian (and since it's Romanized in a French way this lends more support to the "he's from Quebec" idea). Why did I expect a Quebecois Russian to hate America? It's just so typical...

EDIT: Never mind, I looked him up and apparently Chossudovsky has been all over the place, but has never lived in Quebec. He is indeed Russian, though. I probably should stop jumping to conclusions; this is like the third time this has backfired.

Why have you scorned me so?!

This submission was after my blimp conspiracy submission! S-she was my pride and joy... A screaming bugfuck insane conspiracy about my favorite subject! P-pleeease!! My darling! My art! My Mona Lisa of batshit! Why have you passed her over?! Why? WHY? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!?

Wait a minute, isn't the SDI/Star Wars project supposed to be some kind of nuclear missile defense system?

I'm pretty sure a weather control device, if it exists, wouldn't be of any use against nuclear missiles.

7/28/2011 11:33:11 PM

Yes, the US government is Cobra from GI Joe and it's building a Weather Dominator.

You figured it out.

Go you.

@ J. James:

Don't worry about it. A while ago I submitted a bunch of quotes from Sarah Maid of Albion and "Sultan Knish" (an even more batshit racist blog) and none of them have appeared here. Which sucks, because I considered those to be the craziest quotes I've ever submitted, but now you on this site will never see them.

@Brendan Rizzo
Thanks. I feel a bit more lucid now.

Anyway, I won't give up, and neither should you!

You'd be astounded how many blimp conspiracies there are out on the interwebs! I'll keep hunting for even more improbable, even more eye-crossingly stupid quotes!

I even think I have a lead- there are over twenty pages of threads dedicated to blimps and Zeppelins over on Above Top Secret.

Hell, your search should be even easier. There are a LOT of racist fuckwits out there!

Possibly even more than blimp conspiracy theorists, but I won't say for sure.

H.A.A.R.P. clearly works by using the powers of Stardust, The Space Wizard. It can do anything!

7/30/2011 3:25:49 AM

Sorry, how much mental gymnastics should I do to find it reasonable?

8/1/2011 4:59:18 AM

Such a shame you commenters have a mind so confined! Yes waves (electricity oriented) can, based on their frequency, cause alternatively a cloud to rain and a tectonic plate to shake, if you Don t believe so go to the limbs! Patents exist until the 60s and I guess y all be loving Hollywood science fiction, the reality of your enslavement goes far beyond. It goes far beyond bush and the israelis committing mass murder over their people ( yes it s theirs) and then blaming it on a goat. Let me laugh y all rationalist anglo-saxons, have you lost ya reason to.blame this guy who tries to delobotomise you, that is not a question. Peace to all

Since you obviously know so much about it, why don't you tell us exactly how HAARP works. Don't worry about getting too technical. Also tell us exactly how HAARP triggers floods, droughts, hurricanes and earthquakes.

If you can't tell us how HAARP works, stop telling us how it's going to cause the end of the world.
