The SS (including their military units) were totally dominated by homos, only German “regular” army, airforce (despite Goering) and navy were dominated by christian-conservatives (why do you think the Wermacht and the SS hated each other? Not because of the uniforms—) the rest were almost all homo. Associating femininity with homosexuality is a serious mistake, media and “intellectuals” only let you see the feminine/gay (happy) side of it, they never let you see the deranged super-masculine side of it.

So the guys in charge of rounding up and killing all the 'undesirables' such as jews, communists, and homosexuals were themselves gay? Why don't I believe you? Oh, right, it's because you're talking out of your ass.

The SS were given preferential treatment by Hitler and considered elites of higher rank than footsoldiers. They were not frontliners, however, and didn't face the same dangers as the army. That and their attitude is why nobody liked them. And just for the record, the Navy was filled with liberals and weren't well liked either. Hitler even joked about the seemingly deliberate sorting of his armed forces by political ideology once. "I have a conservative airforce, a moderate army, and a socialist Navy."

Someone else pointed out the traditional rivalry of your own army GI's and the Marines. There's also bad blood between the CIA, FBI, and regular old local law enforcement. If your explanation for divisional tension between different branches of the same over-arching body is that one side is completely gay and at odds with the straights I guess that means America has a few giant closets for each organization to hide themselves in.

Is this original research? What are you basing it on? In any large group of people there will probably be homosexuals. Currently, and historically, in the US army, there will have been homosexuals.
If you read the Wikipedia article on "Nazi persecution of homosexuality" you will see that your claims that the SS were "totally dominated by homos" and "almost all homo" are nonsense. Ernst Rohm was a homosexual but was quickly got rid off in the Night of the Long Knives, partly using his homosexuality as a pretext. You can see that there were documented cases of homosexual activity in the SS, but that statistically is not that surprising. That kind of thing sometimes happens in all-male environments, whether it's a prison or a public school. In any case, homosexuality was officially disapproved of in exactly the same way as on the average moonbattery thread. If you look at the "list of SS generals" most of them appear to be married with children.

First, the SS, especially the Waffen-SS was probably more homophobic than Free-Republic, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman's husband, and the Nebraska Republican State Causus combined. On the other hand they were also very anti-Christian.

In contraction to Moonbattery and three of the above posts, the main animosity between the SS and the Wehrmacht was based on the fact that the officers' corps in the Wehrmacht was still dominated by aristocracy and wealthy families, whereas climbing the ranks in the SS was based almost soley on personal achievement, ruthlessness, and dedication to the Nazi party.

The SS was born out of the Nazi party and the Wehrmacht establishment, among other things, resented being usurped by the SS in many key positions of power.

The SS and the Nazis in general on the other hand resented the widespread snobery and self righteousness in the Wehrmacht, although they did profit from the Wehrmacht's blind code of honor and duty.

Moonbattery's assertion that the SS was dominated by homos is utterly absurd and demonstrates that the internet is free and open to everybody, no matter how ignorant they are.

By the way, didn't the media give us a glance at the so-called super-masculine side of homosexuality in the Police Academy movies? Remember the "Blue Oyster Bar"? ;-)

The one Nazi group that had a significant number of gay men in it was the SA, not the SS. And yeah, they were a bunch of obnoxious nationalistic racists, just like the rest of the Nazis -- the only difference was that, as a matter of self-preservation, they weren't homophobes. Mostly they just thought (wrongly, as it turned out -- see "the night of the long knives") that as long as they didn't rock the boat, the Nazi leadership wouldn't bother enforcing their heterosexual-supremacist ideals against other Nazis.

In other words? The gay men in the Nazi party weren't Queer Nation -- hell, they weren't even the Log Cabin Republicans. They were the equivalent of GOProud -- completely willing to support homophobic politicians and policies as long as they thought that they personally might be protected.

They, like GOProud is now, were mistaken.
