Quote# 83196

For ten years, Dennis Markuze has been issuing death threats to atheists, journalists, entertainers and scientists. The deranged, inarticulate and repetitive nature of these threats have long been attributed to a diseased mind. Despite a decade of death threats, the Montreal police, who have jurisdiction over this person, have taken NO action against him.

Why?

A closer look at this man reveals a perplexing blend of alleged Christian fundamentalism and a near worship of Nostradamus.

Despite repeated efforts to engage him in conversation and discussion he has never done anything but repeat the same template driven insanity. There has been no variation, no thought, no research. It's as if the writing of Dennis Markuze is a character, a facade, and a poorly executed one at that.

Why put up this facade? And why are the Montreal police, the police department for a very liberal area, so determined to ignore an alleged conservative who is out for liberal blood?

The answer is simple. My theory is that Dennis Markuze is not the deranged madman he pretends to be. If he really were as violent and bloodthirsty as he claims, why would he attend and atheist convention with a backpack capable of concealing a bomb and do nothing but run?

The answer is simple. David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) is a deep cover liberal whose goal is to mock conservatives and make us look like psychotic lunatics. I suspect the Montreal police are taking no action against him, not because they'd rather he snap and kill someone first, as they claim, but because they already KNOW he's an act. The only rational reason for the Montreal police to take no action against a man who has been issuing death threats for ten years is if they know he's a fake and are in on it.

David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) I challenge you to do the right thing and confess your fraud. You are a fake, an act, a pretender. You are a liar defaming good Christian men and women with your routine. You are a sloppy, humorless, incompetent version of Borat. Stop libeling and slandering real Christians with your act.

For your 'theory' to hold water it would require the entire Montreal police department and the RCMP to be in on it, as well as international law enforcement if he's making threats to people in other provinces or other countries. Seeing as the most competent police department can't even make sure every officer knows about an active warrant out for someone's arrest at all times I'd say that pretty much impossible. Also, what would they stand to gain?

Keep in mind that while Canada in general appears unimaginably liberal to you far-right types the most popular party in Quebec is the highly conservative and largely religious Bloc Quebecois.

I find it more likely that after years of making the same threats the cops just got sick of following up on the reports and figured it's all gravy long as David stays on his meds. If they had him forcibly committed for being a nuisance when it can't be inarguably proven that he's a credible threat to the public people all over the political spectrum would be crying foul and making Orwellian comparisons.

I'd bet a steak dinner you'd be part of that crowd less than a month before your little dare.

I think Alexander Cornswalled just blew his deep liberal cover.

Adolf Hitler was a deep-cover Zionist whose actions directly resulted in the creation of the state of Israel. PROVE ME WRONG.

Oh no, Markuze is actually an EXTREMELY typical Consie.

Fuck, Breivik is, just he took conservatism further then most consies do (but most consies are Breivik like timebombs if you ask me.)

Markuze really needs a good beating up though. A good oldfashioned trashing.

Hey, this game is fun:

- Andrew Schlafly is a deep cover atheist and evolutionary biologist whose goal is to mock creationism.
- Sarah Palin is a deep cover eco-freak and greenie whose goal is to mock ruthless industry interests.
- Glenn Beck is a deep cover sensitive leftist intellectual whose goal is to mock aggressive, bullying conservatives.

The only reason the press has not yet uncovered these pretenders is that the media are completely dominated by liberal bias.

This has to be the answer, because we all know that no Christians anywhere could ever be insane or issue death threats.

Does the spy school for deep cover liberals pretending to be psycho conservatives have classes in intermediate stalking, advanced babbling and demonic cackling?

Obviously a massive conspiracy against "good Christian men and women" involving hundreds, if not thousands, of people is the only rational solution to this conundrum.

Unless you apply Occam's Razor and realize that the simplest explanation is that 1) the guy is a nut and 2) being a nut isn't in and of itself a crime, hence the police can't do anything until he injures/kills someone.

Wow, so that guy Mabus who trolled here a while back is actually pretty well known. (Yeah, I know he started on Pharyngula, but I didn't think that other conservatives knew about him.) I dare him to show up on this page!

Once I read the accusation that he was a deep-cover liberal, I thought this was from Conservapedia. It says something about their reputation when people start believing that crazy quotes come from there with no real evidence to support it.

That said, this is arguably not fundie. Sure, we all know that Markuze is insane, and that insane people do not act rationally and generally do repeat the same things over and over. (Does Cornswalled also think that Gene Ray is a deep-cover liberal?) However, I don't think that Cornswalled knows that. He's probably unaware that the Montreal police just think Markuze is an Internet tough guy (which he is) and do not consider him a threat. But by fundie standards, this is tame, really. It's not like he's saying that liberals are evil because of this.

8/15/2011 6:49:34 AM

Dan Onymous

Ah. So Markuze isn't doing anything to suggest he's not a right-wing nutjob. It's only the police's refusal to deal with him that gives it away?

Apart from that he'd be a perfectly normal representative of the right wing?

Q: What's the difference between a raving lunatic and a fundamental cultist?

A: Nothing.

Q: How can you tell the difference between somebody suffering from a mental illness and a lying Christian?

A: You can't.

"Despite repeated efforts to engage him in conversation and discussion he has never done anything but repeat the same template driven insanity."

Sounds like a paranoid schizophrenic. I've known a couple and their delusions are just like that. Although usually rational and intelligent in other matters, they're immune to any kind of evidence or logic where their delusions are concerned. If the police aren't doing anything, that's a mistake. They can be dangerous without treatment. One guy I knew, who was obsessed with the idea that his wife was cheating on him, eventually tried to kill her and ended up in a mental institution.

"David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) is a deep cover liberal whose goal is to mock conservatives and make us look like psychotic lunatics."

Occam's Razor suggests that your theory is false on the grounds that no such action is required to make you look like psychotic lunatics. You do quite well enough on your own.

Reading between the lines, apparently there's no such thing as a crazy right-wing Christian, and liberals are the root of all evil.

RIIIIIGHT.

The Soviet Union was a deep cover capitalist plot to discredit communism. [/tinfoil hat]

This is more CSTDT than FSTDT. You're proposing that the whole Montreal police, and law enforcement in other parts of Canada and the US, are collaborating with Markuze. It's much more likely that Markuze is just mentally ill.

@ Brendan:
I never knew Mabus/Markuze trolled here. Was he the person who posted soft core porn here earlier this year? I didn't mind the photos, but he'd post the same pic 300 times in a row.

8/15/2011 7:46:36 AM

Bollox

Nah, he's barmy, but the cops won't do anything about it (unless to give him a warning, perhaps) until he gets physical.

And he's not really a fundie, either: hates atheists, I grant you, but Markuze isn't much for the usual fundie tropes. So if he's trying to smear you, he's doing a terrible job of it. Unless you're all nuts on Nostradamus and Depeche Mode ...

Hum, the Bloc is neither conservative nor religious, and Quebec is to the left of the Rest of Canada AND the least religious society in North America...

"David Mabus (Dennis Markuze) is a deep cover liberal whose goal is to mock conservatives and make us look like psychotic lunatics."

If so, then Dennis 'ma(short)bus' Markarzi is doing a fucking awful job of being a 'liberal', then. And au contraire, Alexander Codswallop, he doesn't need to do anything to mock you conservatives, nor make you look like psycho loonies.

Via everything you say, do - and think...:

...you're doing a perfectly good job yourselves.

If Dennis Markarzi is a 'liberal', then Richard Dawkins is Pope Benedict XVI. But then, I have a theory about 'ma(short)bus' real identity...:

Argument blasted out of the space-time continuum much, Mr. Codswallop?

No. That was a different troll, whose pic-spam was simply an extended temper-tantrum that resulted from her getting banned from the forum. Marzuke's shtick is posting copypasta proclaiming that atheists all deserve to die horribly and/or that Nostradamus was Jesus in all but name.
