Ellettsville gun seller arrested after tipoff, 7 month investigation

. . .

Law enforcement received a tip in January that Donald Mullendore, 61 of Ellettsville, might be selling firearms in violation of federal law.

. . .

An informant and undercover police officers purchased seven guns illegally between January and July of this year, including a machine gun, according to the release.

No criminal background checks were issued on the purchases, as is required by federal law.

Four of the firearms were sold directly to the informant even after the informant told Mullendore that he was a convicted felon, which is against federal law.

"I destroyed all my paper and I just don’t care, I’m going to give people the guns they need. This is God’s shop and what he wants to do with it is going to happen," Mullendore said..."God always gives us the guns to sell and people who need them."

Rule #1

Everytime you have a reported holding a microphone in your face..be sure to think REALLY HARD about the words you are going to use if you want to include god in them..you will more than likely turn out looking delusional at best, and psychotic at worst.

Of course it's god's will to give firearms to felons, the criminally insane, and the unbalanced. God wants everyone to have a gun because it's their right to have one, given by god himself. Why, god even provides people to sell the gun to. Especially to undercover police who are wrongly persecuting my right to do god's will by giving guns to just anyone, willy nilly.

What a boneheaded whackjob.

This is God’s shop and what he wants to do with it is going to happen

Yep, here it is, right in the Good Book:

ONE: 'I am the LORD thy God … thou shalt have no other gods before Me.'
TWO: 'Thou shalt not make for thyself a graven image.'
THREE: 'Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.'
FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
FIVE: 'Honor thy father and mother.'
SIX: 'Thou shalt not murder.'
SEVEN: 'Thou shalt not commit adultery.'
EIGHT: 'Thou shalt not steal.'
NINE: 'Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.'
TEN: 'Thou shalt not covet your neighbor's house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.'
ELEVEN: 'Thou shalt not refuse to sell guns to convicted felons'

Where the fuck is that in the Bible?

So God gave you the guns? I always thought that guns were made, in munitions factories, and transported across the country to gun shops and things. Shows how ignorant I am.

Federal crime: check
Admitting such: check
Mr. Mullendore is about to go away for a very long time.

I’m going to give people the guns they need.

...to do what?

Are they going to defend their homes? Rob a bank? Hunt large game? Shoot people indiscriminately at a public event? Shoot at tin cans? Blow away somebody in your family?

Oh, right. You don't know. You didn't bother to ask them.

This is God’s shop and what he wants to do with it is going to happen," Mullendore said...

If your God wants people to die, he can fucking do it himself, right? He's all powerful, isn't he?

"God always gives us the guns to sell and people who need them."

Yeah, God always provides. Keep that in mind when somebody in your family is shot to death by somebody who shouldn't have had the gun in the first place.

Fucking irresponsible lunatic.

Yes, Jesus is real gun freak.

I mean look, if he had had a gun back then, he could have told Caiaphas and Pontius Pilate to go fuck it. He knows that now.

"Have Colt, will not be crucified." That what Jesus says.

Peter had a sword, carried concealed of course, and he even chopped Malchus' ear off during Jesus' arrest. Ok, Jesus told Peter to put his sword down, but that was only because he wanted him to use an AK-47 Kalashnikov and kill everybody in the garden except the disciples.

Too bad for Jesus that the AK-47 hadn't been invented yet. Jesus tended to get things confused now and then. Being an all-powerful all-knowing being can do that to you.

God loves guns. That's why we're born naked: that way we can decide for ourselves what guns we want to carry.

In case any Christians are reading this story and think Mr. Mullendore is doing the right thing, allow me to make a slight change...

Luke 22:36
Then said he (Jesus) unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Surely if firearms had been the state-of-the-art weapon at the time Jesus would have told his disciples to buy them instead.

Great job at being a complete imbecile. Not only will you suffer in some shithole of a judical system far more concerned about fucking you over rather than unfucking you, you also just might make everyone else's life more miserable by giving out a good excuse for more unreasonable and populist legislation.

Guns don't kill people, God kills people.

And when God uses a gun to do his holiest of work, man, get the fuck out of the way!

Sometimes God gives guns to men so they can do his holy duty. Those guns don't kill people, those men don't kill people, it's God who kills people. It's his sacred will.

Mullendore is an angel of God's mercy and supreme goodness.

Mr. Mullendore, you DO realize that all you are doing is making the pro-gun side look bad.

And requiring a criminal background check does not violate the Constitution. In fact, the Constitution says a felon can have his rights taken away.

Oh wow, it worked! I feel so included...

I believe I found this linked from the same website as the autoblog one I commented on a few days ago. As you can tell, it is from a longer article. I copied what I thought were the most relevant parts of the article.

I saw this, and thought..."Really, Mr. Mullendore?" He is certainly entitled to hold beliefs, but the entitlement ends when they conflict with federal law. I personally doubt that Jesus would be okay with giving unregistered guns to people who had already been convicted of crimes...as much as a 1st-century man would be with letting a community/village have possibly armed known criminals, anyway.
