Quote# 83711

I have read through the comments posted on crossroad.to, concerning anime/manga. I have to say this about most of the readers comments DEFENDING anime/manga: Do you (anime/manga fans) not realize that you are replacing life with this anime/manga hogwash? Going into excruciating detail about some FICTIONAL cartoon characters as if they were real? Don't forget, that anime/manga is directly associated with the anime/manga that portrays girls AND women as throwaway toys, only good for sex and abuse? I have seen some of the most brutal of the anime in years past, and, technically speaking, ALL anime/manga is of the same roots. You can't have one genre of anime, without realizing the extent and brutality of the others.

Anime is MAINLY for adults, evidenced by the storylines. Some anime is just plain BORING. Some is DISGUSTING. ALL of it is like watching soap operas: The gullible and reality-denying individual treating fictional characters as REAL, hence the troubling trend of little kids acting like they are gods, superheroes, wizards, and animals. Even if there WERE such a thing as CHRISTIAN anime, the roots would STILL be there. One could not perceivably "christianise" something that is inherently evil.

No matter how many of you DEFEND anime/manga, you NEED to realize that this genre of entertainment is nothing short of witchcraft, REGARDLESS of the messages/storylines presented. Anime, like other ungodly trappings in life, has been designed to rip you from the real world (God's creation), and stuff you into a state of mind that neither pleases God, nor will ever draw you closer to Him. Take it from someone who KNOWS about this topic. When you begin to blur the lines between good and evil (whether it's a little or a lot), you push yourself farther and farther into the chasm of depravity and insanity. Anime/manga is a product that is best flushed back into the cesspool from which it came.

Next, this goober will make up junk involving "Satan-Worshipping Shinto-Buddhist Priests" praying over piles of master copies of the lastest Anime, invoking weird "Kamakaze Pilot-Samurai-Sumo-Ninja-Geisha-Demons".

Hey, they said the same concerning "Dark Witches" & rock recordings!

1: He's seen all the posts anticipating his response, and is deliberately waiting to build anticipation.
2: He's been shocked into silence by sheer horror at the quote.
3: He's taking a long time to build up a truly EPIC response :D

Fucking fixed!

But... "You can't have one genre of literature, without realizing the extent and brutality of 120 Days of Sodom".

Also womanizing and treating women as disposable objects is a bad thing? Might want to take another look at your "source of all worldly morality" there.

9/11/2011 10:28:39 AM

Oh, and one other thing, Mr Todd H.

If you really seen some of the most brutal anime, you would know 2 things... first, it's called Hentai. Second, it's generally illegal to watch the fucking stuff in the US/UK...

Be a good Christian and turn yourself in now.

9/11/2011 10:33:21 AM

It's a matter of taste, prefereance and otherwise, to do so.

First, this has been done in western comic books and animation LONG, LONG before Anime hit the western world good n' propa, besides your own deluded flock has enough people pretending to be the second coming of jesus or having magical healing powers, these kids don't.

I watch it just because I can and to satisfy my sado-masochistic needs watching terribad anime, (Lacking eyesight, aching joints and proper place to read in and lack of stimuli to distract from the said pains) such as Mad Bull 34 and Dracula Soveirgn of the Damned. And sad to say, I am running out

You wouldn't find animu fans depending manga or anime with zeal like you twats defend your faith, they just laugh and tell you to fuck off. They don't give two shits.

On and "When they are EVULZ", says you. I say: Christmas was a pagan holiday.

Enjoy your holidays.

>>"women as throwaway toys, only good for sex and abuse"

I DARE you to say that to Akane Tendo.

-Or Sgt. Leona Ozaki from "Dominion tank police"!

Or Haman Karn, from "Zeta Gundam". >_>

Now, to the quote:

...anime/manga that portrays girls AND women as throwaway toys, only good for sex and abuse?

I will admit that it seems like a lot of female characters are a little too interested in getting married and becoming housewives for one of the male characters instead of simply pursuing whatever it is they started their series doing, which irritates me. But this is simply a cultural reflection. However - throwaway toys? Only good for sex and abuse? What series have YOU been watching?? Most anime series' depictions of women aren't anywhere near that.

Anime is MAINLY for adults, evidenced by the storylines.

Thank you. And yet, one of the things that's cool about it is that it often times has young people (13-25) as the main characters. The way these young characters are written isn't very patronizing, either, which is why I think so many young people are attracted to the medium - the depictions of themselves are not negative, and the shows don't talk down to them. In short, young people are treated with respect by the shows that they are watching. The protagonist has struggles coming of age just like you, but he/she can still fly a gundam or fight Queen Beryl's minions or locate crystal shards, which means that you probably could, too.

Take it from someone who KNOWS about this topic.

Because he watched a couple of episodes of Dragonball Z, amirite?

Wow, Todd's like the poster boy for the "Outsider Test for Faith."

I'm with you, Todd, I hate to see people wasting their lives and energy on fictional characters who inhabit a storybook world where unbelievable and often atrociously offensive acts of violence (sexual and otherwise) are not only commonplace but are glorified and blindly defended.

9/11/2011 2:42:37 PM

Huh

@David B.
Like the Bible.
Or are you being sarcastic?

What, not making a good case for us? Go watch some Vandread, chances are any woman you choose is a strong female character, as long as they're not a) pregnant, b) wearing puppets on their hands, or c) running around yelling "uchuujin-san" all the time. And let's not forget that nobody's even heard of sex until halfway through the series, so even if it could be described as a harem situation with 3 guys to who knows how many women, there is no treating women as sex objects.

Indeed, you got his point. Too bad the vast majority of fundies wouldn't.

Oh, crossroads.to. I used to go there all the time. They are anti-EVERYTHING. Seriously. They've even anti-Veggie Tales. If something is fun, you can bet there's going to be someone on there talking about why it's ungodly. I feel sorry for their children.

I'm not really a fan of anime, I only know the Americanized versions eg Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Vampire Knight ect. But even I know more about anime than you. (I know that sounds arrogant)
Also, read your bible. It's worse than "brutal anime" by a long shot.

*Looks around curiously* ok where is Anon-e-moose? I'm starting to get concerned.

Comrade Potatovich

Other "ungodly trappings in life"
1. Reading books that aren't the Bible, trust me, I've read books and they're ALL the asme Satanic hogwash.
2. Murder Sim-- I mean video games.
3. Listening to non-gospel music
4. Foreign cuisine. If you enjoy borscht, you're an unamerican pinko commie librul and need to be shot down.
5. Pretty much anything that keeps a man away from his job and a woman from her place in the kitchen.

Still no Anon-e-moose?

I'm wondering if he got caught up in the storms we've got going on over here.

Either that or he's walking a whippet on Ilkley Moor (bar t'at) (for those outside the UK, it's a Yorkshire reference)

Wow, given the choice between you, Todd, and even the most obsessive, insufferable, "omg bishie kawaii desuuuu" weeaboo, I think I'd rather spend my day with the weeaboo. At least they'd still have some vague grasp on reality, which is more than can be said for yourself.

There, fixed. Needed only a few substitutions.

If it wasn't for the claim of "witchcraft," this wouldn't really be fundie. Just someone who doesn't like anime expressing their view on a forum for anime fans. Which, if you think about it, is kind of pointless.
