"...One could not perceivably "christianise" something that is inherently evil.
..."
I honestly wouldn't hold my breath on that one, if I were you. History is replete with examples of how Christianity (along with every other monotheistic religion)has been used to legitimize various actions against fellow human beings that can easily be construed as "evil".
Think the Spanish Inquisition, for instance, or maybe the Salem Witch Trials. Those are actually fairly minor examples, off the top of my head.
Just a word to the wise, though. *shrugs*
The rest of your post is an almost classical example of syncretism: the attempt to reconcile disparate or contrary beliefs, often while melding practices of various schools of thought.
Or, in the vernacular: "Maximum Fail".

You know, most of what he's talking about I've mostly seen in Hentai...one wonders what anime HE is watching.
Going into excruciating detail about some FICTIONAL cartoon characters as if they were real?
Your hypocrisy aside, I myself like analyzing characters I'm really fond of. If you have your viewers doing this, it's a sign you're succeeding somewhere. I'm not sure who said this, but it's great advice for writers: "Make a person, not a character."
...and, technically speaking, ALL anime/manga is of the same roots.
Is this guy aware that the "Godfather of Anime", Osamu Tezuka, considered Walt Disney a large influence?
Anime is MAINLY for adults, evidenced by the storylines.
Ever seen a Studio Ghibli film? Many of their films are child friendly.
Most of the more "adult" stuff is shown late at night or, in hentai's case, on DVD. Japan also has a belief that anime is for children, believe it or not.
Even if there WERE such a thing as CHRISTIAN anime, the roots would STILL be there. One could not perceivably "christianise" something that is inherently evil.
Superbook would like a word with you.

- Considering Christianity's roots are the mythological and ritual traditions of pagan mystery cults I find this comment particularly hilarious.

Osamu? That sounds a bit too much like Osama. or even worse...Obama.

Ergo you, Toddy-boy = Hibiki Tokai (above, r). Q.E. and D.
Never mind blasting an argument out of the space-time continuum, yours has returned - on the fold-drive section of the Event Horizon - back to the Chaos Dimension, to be hideously raped & mutilated for all eternity.
Liberate tutame ex inferis.
*- Not for nothing is "Vandread" one of my all-time faves.
**- I can highly recommend this, as the perfect anti-"Naruto"; it's the anime equivalent of "Fawlty Towers" - 12 episodes of pure comedic perfection. Two words:
Norio Wakamoto.
@Sandchigger
"Wait, wasn't Superbook basically Christian anime?"
Decades ago, Pat Robertson - via showing "Superbook" on his Christian TV channel - effectively pioneered anime on US TV, popularising the genre there (even before the influence of the likes of Fred Patten & Carl Macek). America is the biggest consumer market for manga/anime outside Japan. Yes, that's right Toddy-boy.
A Christian is directly responsible for Yuri/Yaoi/Ecchi/Hentai in the US.
Enjoy your paradox.

*slow clap* Bravo, Anon-e-moose! Bravo! I can only imagine how you would blow stuff like this out of the water in PERSON.
As for you, Todd, I may not like everything in the anime/manga genre (Something lighthearted/comedic is indeed my boat) but you don't see me badmouthing it like it's the stupidest thing ever created in the history of human art. Ya don't like anime? DON'T WATCH IT. Don't make SUCH A FLYING FUCKING DEAL about it! We clear?

And as for your post, (*
Blushy-blushy*) You're too kind. Those expecting me to explode cranially, a la "Scanners", rest assured, I channel my energies into destroying arguments. Which reminds me...:
@#1331710
"Not religious but I agree, anime is for fags"
Never smoked in my life thanks, but I agree, pork meatballs in onion gravy would make for a tasty, nourishing, traditional &
wholesome meal whilst watching anime.
Will you be saying 'I love the smell of annihilated arguments - and Americentric (therefore failing) slang terms - in the morning. Smells like... victory.', or shall I? Oh, and you clearly spend too much time on 4chan's /a/ for your own good.
...just saying. ~_^
Continuing on the annihilation theme, as for what Toddy-boy says here:
"Take it from someone who KNOWS about this topic"
Which is Why I'd be
glad if he dared show his face round here. I'm
suuuuure he'd be able to identify the anime series these characters appear in:
And this:
I'm already savouring the merest whiff of destroyed arguments in the air. And it has notes of... Superiority. >:D
...oh, and as for:
"ALL anime/manga is of the same roots. You can't have one genre of anime, without realizing the extent and brutality of the others."
Toddy-boy has clearly never heard of the likes of "Azumanga Daioh", "K-ON!", "Hidamari Sketch" and "A-Channel".
Still smelling those aromas of annihilated arguments in the air, pal. Furthermore...:
"hence the troubling trend of little kids acting like they are gods, superheroes, wizards, and animals."
Almost from the start, has there been characters in anime who
are God(desse)s - Belldandy, Urd, Skuld & co. in "Ah! My Goddess".
And Urd is the result of God fucking the Leader of Hell, Hild, no less.; superheroes - Joey Jones and his eponymous robot companion in "Heroman"*.
Created by Stan Lee, no less.
Wizards?:
^"Ascoeur Potter and the Half-Blood ES-Member"; a 'fantasy' scene from "Kiddy Girl-and" (the 2009 sequel to the 2002 Sci-Fi anime series "Kiddy Grade").
Shows how JK Rowling's creation has such cultural - and influential - power worldwide; and in the space of just several years.
As for 'Animals', Google the word 'Catgirl', Toddy-boy.
And have an aneurysm in the process. Three words: "Tokyo Mew Mew". >:D
And lastly...:
"Even if there WERE such a thing as CHRISTIAN anime, the roots would STILL be there. One could not perceivably "christianise" something that is inherently evil"

(*
Pushes Toddy-boy into rear half of the experimental spaceship 'Event Horizon'; closes, locks & seals airlock doors to main crew section of same. Blows locking latches of forward section, separating both sections; activates conventional thrusters to boost away from rearward Fold-Drive section. Watches as - via automatic countdown - fold-drive activates, creating a wormhole-like portal in the fabric of the space-time continuum, taking said rearward section with it; both dimensional portal & ship disappears forever.*)
Liberate tutame ex inferis, Toddy-boy. >:D

Just been reading the site this quote's linked to, and it makes me wonder - as one of the anime series condemned by such being "Pokemon" - if the webmaster is a Slowpoke him/herself? When was the last time this site was updated?! Or mayhaps it's better if he/she is, and hasn't kept abreast of anime post-2000 (I mean - "Sailor Moon", "Dragonball Z"?! Their living under a stone levels are OVER 9000! XP )
For a start, one of the underlying motifs in "Kiddy Grade" (2002): immortality. As an 'ability'-user (C, then later G-class) in the GOTT, Eclair is never allowed to die, but is reborn in new bodies (many times in the past, re. flashbacks to her former lives; most of which were bloody & brutal, used by her Nouvlesse/GU masters for their own nefarious ends; thus Alv turning against the Nouvlesse). The concept of eternal life without 'Spiritual salvation'; no latest series of "Torchwood" required.
Then more recently, "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" (2006). In which a high school girl - without even realising it - is God.
Frankly, Toddy-boy, 'anime/manga that portrays girls AND women as throwaway toys, only good for sex and abuse' is the least of your problems. Three words: "Neon Genesis Evangelion".
