Well, somebody is sure pissed that the other kids in primary (elementary) school teased him for being a supreme loser for not having pokemon cards!
@anon-e-moose
I applaud you, sir/madam. Your ability to totally annihilate this drivel, then absolutely blow the tar out of the rubble is truly impressive. Bravo, bravo.

"hence the troubling trend of little kids acting like they are gods, superheroes, wizards, and animals."
More's the pity:
>:3
While I've seen lots of catgirl cosplayers at anime conventions (mostly Felicia, from the Capcom videogame "DarkStalkers" and generic characters; non-series specific ones) I've yet to see anyone do similarly as Lotte & Aria, the Lieze Twins from "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's" ;_; (*
grump*). However, at an anime convention in the US several years ago, I had the privilege of meeting a delightful lady who was cosplaying as Eclair (from "Kiddy Grade"); posing here with her lipstick whip:
Talking with her, I discovered that, like me, she was also an enthusiast of all things Keiji Gotoh (ergo, her favourite character being Eclair, in this, her favourite series):

She's also a Christian (just not the fundie type, that's all; her not even having a problem with the fact that said costume design also includes a [cut-out] cross, neither).
Just a little more mental torture there, to spice things up whilst you're in the Chaos Dimension, Toddy-boy. >:D

Aw, shucks. Your kind words humble me greatly. You make a happy man feel very old (shome mishtake, shurely?! X3 ).

...phew, thank Haruhi for that! The ol' fella's still there! X3

Oh goddamit, not again guys! Sheesh, yeah, Japan's a bit behind the times on gender equality, but as Anon-e-moose pointed out, it's not so bad.
Actually, allow me to add one more: Hungary/Elizaveta from Axis Powers Hetalia. Docile, gentle wife, right? Yeah, well, go after Austria and see what happens. Hint: it involves guns, frying pans, and your ass being handed to you on a plate.

Do you (anime/manga fans) not realize that you are replacing life with this anime/manga hogwash? Going into excruciating detail about some FICTIONAL cartoon characters as if they were real?
They do understand the definition of reality and fantasy. Why, did you want them to explain it to you?
I have seen some of the most brutal of the anime in years past, and, technically speaking, ALL anime/manga is of the same roots
Yeah, Walt Disney. Seriously. The root of all anime is Walt Disney. Oh the irony.
And what the fuck anime have you watched? Devilman and Crimson Climax? No wonder your opinion is skewed!
Anime is MAINLY for adults, evidenced by the storylines.
Astroboy, Hello Kitty, Pokemon...show me an adult who watches those (okay, maybe not Astroboy, that does kick ass), and I will show you someone with their mittens pinned to their jacket year-'round.
Even if there WERE such a thing as CHRISTIAN anime, the roots would STILL be there. One could not perceivably "christianise" something that is inherently evil.
It's called "Superbook". It's an anime about the Bible. I think there's another one, but who gives a shit, it's dirt boring anyways. Also, Evangelion and Spriggan involved biblical themes. Happy now?
you NEED to realize that this genre of entertainment is nothing short of witchcraft,
Right, because this one time, I was late for school, so I just screamed out "Moon Prism Power" and developed superpowers and totally made it in time. Because everything ever expressed in any media is always a documentary. ALWAYS.
Or, magic isn't real. One of those.

Sailor Moon is not REAL ! oh the horror !
Wouldnt that apply to all fiction ?
Christian Anime ? a cartoon of the kinky sexual practices of sodom ^ gommorah ? that would be sooo cool

"Anime is MAINLY for adults, evidenced by the storylines."
Toddy-boy here had better not watch the currently-airing in Japan anime series "Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon" then, if he knows what's good for him.
And not just for the Fanservice neither, re. the female characters, most of whom are... 'generously endowed', to say the least (and not just in the breast departments; some have hairstyles that'd make Vidal Sassoon want to commit seppuku!). Nor for one character who is the first 'Reverse-reverse-reverse trap' [/'Dropped a Bridget on him']. No, it's this factor:
Now, I love a story/plotline that I can really get my mental teeth into (thus "Babylon 5" is one of my all-time faves), but to compare "KSnH" to "B5" would be like trying to make a "Janet & John" reader seem like "Dune". Apart from the basic scenario plotline of "Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon", frankly I'm just going along for the ride; but the scenery's pretty! (imagine "Final Fantasy" or "Phantasy Star" turned up to 11). Toddy-boy's brain would Divide By Zero if he watched a few episodes of such!
The 'light novels' that "KSnH" are based on... well, let's just say that one volume of such could stop the door of Fort Knox's vault. "KSnH" as 'Light Novels'?! The phrase 'Oh, the irony!' exists for a reason.
Moral: Just as an iPod is a digital media player, not all media players are iPods, just because Hentai exists, doesn't mean that all anime/manga are Hentai.
PROTIP: The word 'Hentai' is now in the latest edition of the Oxford English Dictionary. And the professors, scholars, academics, etymologists & lexicographers of the OED are ultra-deadly Serious Business when it comes to new additions to (certainly research for) the definitive lexicon of the English language.

Toddy-boy here had better not watch the anime series "Chibi Devi!", if he knows what's good for him:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.co.uk/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=13489
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chibi_Devi!
(emphasis added):
'Sawada Honoka is a 14-year-old girl who is very timid. She easily gets bullied by other classmates.
Honoka is a non-believer in God, Angels, and Devils. Though one day, a devil baby was dropped into her room while she was sleeping.
What will Honoka believe in now.'
Lest it blows his.
Fucking.
Mind.
Imagine "The Omen" combined with "Potemayo", and you'll have some idea.

You've never watched anime, have you? Hentai isn't the only damn genre out there. CHRISTAN ANIME? Oh, that is rich. I honestly believe that no inanimate object is evil. It's only the way we use it.
