1. You can't "turn off the internet".
2. Obama is the President of the United States, not the ruler of the world. Even if one could "turn off the internet", that is just one country.
3. Even if Obama could "turn off the internet" in the U.S., he legally can't because of the way the U.S. government works.

If millions of people suddenly and inexplicaby disappear I highly doubt anybody would, or even reasonably could, expect an immediate, concise, and comprehensive explanation. Moreover, why is it that you automatically assume that Obama would not be amoung one of those raptured? The internet does not have an "OFF" switch in the white house. So short of shutting down the entire North Americn power grid, which would cause even more panic, I'd have to say no.

I really want the people that are left behind to be able to obtain all the "What's next"? information that is online after the Rapture.
Which version? There is more than one and many are contrdictory.
If the internet stays on, at least there are many Bibles online for those that want them and so much more information too.
So people should look to a book tht doesn't so much as even mention "the rapture" for information on the rapture?
It is weird to think that after the Rapture this forum will be empty of posters.

1. The president does not control the american government (all in all, it's more the other way around)
2. the amarican governament does not control the internet (they would probably want to, but the size and scale of that would be ridiculous)
3. the internet is a collection of millions of computers, all linked together, with dozens of different backups, making tampering with it nigh-impossible. it does not have an off switch.
we can see that you don't know much about computers. or the government. or anything else, really.
