I never got how apostasy could be considered anywhere near as bad as actual stuff that actually harms people. Even if you want to believe its a really bad thing to turn your back on god, its still not harming people (except maybe yourself, or your relationships with people, but that's not your fault so much as the fault of the religion).

Rapists, arsonists, murderers, transvestites... one of these things does not belong!

I have talked to people all the times who's actions upset and offend me. I treat them as I would like to be treated with respect, I might not like them or what they have done but I can still be polite to them and deal with them in a respectful way.

If you have such a problem dealing with other people go live in the wilds by yourself and you will never have to worry about those people doing things you don't like. And hey if leaving a religion is as bad as all that you have some serious issues you need to work out.
