It doesn't matter who the person is, we don't want to see you two being all touchy-feely, and we definitely are not going to give you the right to marry them. Why are we doing this? And don't whine and complain saying we are taking away your rights - you have every right to live out your "lifestyle" in private, so you should probably just shut up, live your life, and avoid causing any trouble for yourself.

Using this established system of "punctuation," normal humans are able to convey the meanings of other things called "words" more efficiently by giving them order and letting readers know when one sentence ends and another begins.
Another handy trick in that department is the use of upper case letters to begin those sentences.

As far as I know their are no laws against slander or libel in the USA like there are in places such as Britain, probably to do with how freedom of speech is an explicitly written law instead of a more implied concept.
