Quote# 84478

[Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood] was known as a very promiscuous woman who jumped from sex partner to sex partner, which she referred to as her "voluntary mates." She was not only addicted to drugs, but was an occultist who was "Obsessed with numerology, astrology, and psychics." She wrote harshly against the idea of abstinence and self-control, stating that society should "Remove the constraints and prohibitions which now hinder the release of inner [sexual] energies…" She viewed abortion as not only a powerful weapon in the hands of eugenicists, but as an effective means of birth control. The fallout of her philosophies has been an increase in the rate of divorce, an epidemic in sexually transmitted diseases and the sacrifice of millions of children on the narcissistic altar of self.

Sanger wasn't as bad as you seem to think she was.

Even if she had been, that wouldn't affect the morality or immorality of contraception. After all, Hitler was a vegetarian, but that doesn't make vegetarianism evil.

Demonizing one's opponent, or somebody associated with that opponent, in an overly exaggerated fashion in an attempt to discredit their (unrelated) actions is typical 99 cent rhetoric, the argument of fools. It can be found anywhere where true objective arguments are missing and the speaker is a jerk.

One of the things that make the historical Jesus kind of classy is that he avoided this kind of argumentation totally. He always highlighted people's good sides, especially the good sides of people he was expected to dislike. On the other hand he let the fools expose themselves as such.

I doubt very much that the historical Jesus would approve of Brother Joe's hate and lies.

Sadly we'll never know seeing that he was executed 2000 years ago and has since decomposed to dust somewhere outside Jerusalem.

Deep down most Christians inherently distrust their own faith and thus tend to block out questioning sources and thinking differentially. They blindly believe just about anything a minister says in order to help themselves "keep the faith". This is exploited by ministers, albeit probably involutarily on the most part. It's just part of the game. Most ministers are just as dumb as their flock and indiscriminately repeat what they've heard elsewhere.

It's people like Joe who go overboard and feel the need to be knowlingly dishonest to promote their faith. Pretty disgusting.

I'll tell you what, Joe. Marry off one of your children to a member of a different race and/or religion and we'll talk about eugenics. You can come up with credible citations for your statements in the meantime.

So she liked to have sex and didn't care whether some prick like you approved of it or not? Good for her.

Did she support eugenics? Some say yes, others no. If she did, it's unfortunate, but that shouldn't tarnish her organization, which doesn't hold those views. And frankly, one can find something wrong with pretty much anyone if you get to know them well enough.

And she didn't wash her hands either.

Margaret Sanger is painted as a "eugenecist", but her beliefs were far less alarming. She believed that planned parenthood- through contraception, and, yes, even abortion, could help black families "improve the stock of their race"- an old-timey way of saying that they could use Planned Parenthood to have smaller families in order to break the cycle of poverty. Not exactly Hitler, eh?

As for the rest, it's easy to lie about someone when they're dead.

Uh... WTF?

You are a liar.

Coincidently, this guy's last name translates out as fungus to me. The type that spoils food, or causes athletes foot.

Ad Hominems and lying to descredit their opponents due to lack of any substantial arguement.

The liberal use of quote marks suggests you can cite your sources...?

Wait, wait, wait. Physics is occult now? Who knew?

How is this different from your average fundie preacher?

All I can hear is a loud buzzing noise. That may be due to all the buzzwords flying on this pile of shit.

Can you give some citations on Ms. Sanger's debaucheries? It sounds like you pulled them out of your ass.

10/26/2011 6:18:40 AM

The only thing sinister is the "eugenics" part. Occultism, Birth Control & lots of red-hot sex are perfectly fine.
Of course, Joe Schpeil Der Fundieface wouldn't know that, the dope.

10/26/2011 6:52:41 AM

Her private habits (though I can't believe you really know anything about them) make no difference to the validity of her ideas. A good idea is a good idea no matter who has it.

10/26/2011 7:26:13 AM

Beating that strawman like a rented mule. Retarded.

10/26/2011 10:51:18 AM

If you are attacking Margaret Sanger rather than Planned Parenthood, that tells me you have no grounds to attack Planned Parenthood. Basically, you are admitting defeat before you even get started. Not the best debating tactic I've seen, Joe.

10/26/2011 11:24:14 AM

Can you prove any of that? No? Didn't think so.
