I know reality can't be true because it doesn't agree with the Bible
11/3/2011 4:43:33 AM
1. Germany is 'prospering' (barely) because it is an industrious, well run, well populated and disciplined country. Past treatment of the Jewish race has nothing to do with anything.
2. Our Empire was well on the wane before Isreal was created in the 40s. Fighting the two biggest wars in history within a couple of decades will do that to a country. (We finally finished off paying our WW2 debt to the good ol' US of A in 2006)
3. God doesn't exist. The Jews are not 'chosen people'. Get over it.
11/3/2011 4:53:15 AM
More biblical delusions...if only you weren't such an idiot, making fun of your ridiculousness wouldn't be so easy or fun.
11/3/2011 5:21:20 AM
Unlike ancient Rome and Greece, Britain still stands in some similar fashion to it's colonial days, even if somewhat diminished.
11/3/2011 5:21:41 AM
but sold out most of the land for oil
Also, if this hypothesis were true, how did we get an Empire in the first place, given that England expelled all Jews in 1290?
11/3/2011 5:44:44 AM
Well at least she's not being anti-semitic.
11/3/2011 5:45:39 AM
dionysusI was talking to someone close to me, of prophecy in the bible and how historically, nations who have sheltered the Jews have thrived, but those nations who have abused them suffered eventually.
Sure, that's why the Caliphates had so little land in the Middle Ages.
11/3/2011 6:18:31 AM
See, your first problem is taking biblical prophecy seriously and trying to fit it to the current world economical/political scene.
11/3/2011 6:25:44 AM
"I know God's will, will be done and Gen 12:3 stands as true to day and forever as it always has. It would appear that in times past retribution was fairly quick but Germany does appear to be calling the shots in Europe today."
Nice self-contradiction to top your word salad.
11/3/2011 6:30:50 AM
History ain't what it used to be, I guess.
11/3/2011 6:33:51 AM
I'm not aware the Caliphate did much in the way of Jew-baiting - IIRC, they were more tolerant than most of Europe was at the time.
11/3/2011 6:50:22 AM
It's because your god has nothing to do with earthly economics.
11/3/2011 6:53:29 AM
So let me get this straight: Germany now treats the Jews the same as they always were treated in England, but it was let off the hook because they killed them but then repented? And what about China, which pays little if any attention to Jews and usually obstructs the Israel/Palestine peace process? How come they're succeeding?
11/3/2011 7:08:10 AM
It's because you're using a bad model.
Be scientific and replace it.
11/3/2011 8:01:11 AM
This is the sort of rigorous, historically accurate scholarship that gives hope to all atheists that one day we may see Christian loonies tell only the truth and avoid all lies. Perhaps then we may come to believe in an invisible man and His water strolling Son who both ... ahem ... (say it quickly) love us.
11/3/2011 8:15:38 AM
It seems that your faith has no power other than to enable the glib spouting of lies and the easy manifestation of inhumane, often demonic, characteristics. It is the faith that makes you hate yourself and makes you think you can fly in order to rise above your earthbound self detestation. I blame the Bible for that. Try reading something positive instead.

"those nations who have abused them suffered eventually"
Every nation suffers eventually.
11/3/2011 8:34:29 AM
"A question was asked of me that I was unable to answer and I am wondering if someone on here can help me. I was talking to someone close to me, of prophecy in the bible and how historically, nations who have sheltered the Jews have thrived, but those nations who have abused them suffered eventually. As an example, the British were supposed to protect the interests of the Jews in palestine when setting up their homeland, but sold out most of the land for oil, so that now, the Jews only hold a tiny part of what they should have. Consequently, the British empire has gone the way of many in the past."
And yet, Jews have thrived
here in the UK. Guess who it was who chased Oswald Mosley & his fascist Blackshirts out of London, in the 1930s: your good ol' down-to-earth, C-of-E Cockneys.
I think one particular British Jew of note has something to say to you on the matter, marchdumb
Jews like Lord* Sugar here don't believe that your Jesus is the Messiah. How does that smash your 'Israel-loving' stiffy down, by the cold hard shovel of religious differences, Ruptured Retards?!
*- Even before he was awarded his peerage, he was known as Sir
Alan Sugar. Like I say, RR: Jews have thrived here in the UK. Lord Sugar proves that.
"Every nation suffers eventually."
To my knowledge, there weren't Jews in ancient China. Nor that of the ancient Mayans. Or Aztecs. Or ancient India. Or Cambodia. Or Japan.
Babylon/Egypt/Roman, Ottoman Empire, British Empire, Third Reich, USSR.
The phrase 'All great powers fall. No Exceptions.
' exists for a reason
. I suggest the Raptards take a look at the above, and see a pattern forming. Then consider who's next on that list. And sooner than we expect, methinks; and I suspect they won't like the answer, especially in the 21st Century. One word: China.
'What goes round, comes around'. That phrase exists for a reason too, RR. As does the phrase 'Slow Boat to China'. And it's nearly reaching it's port of call, after a voyage of thousands of years.
11/3/2011 8:56:10 AM
The answer is simple. You got your information from a Chick tract and Chick tracts are totally untrue.
11/3/2011 9:06:08 AM
" The question I was asked was, if this is so, why is Germany, who nigh on wiped the Jews from the face of the earth, prospering as she does"
Because the theory is a load of steaming horse manure, possibly?
11/3/2011 9:06:13 AM
I love how there's only the options of favoring the Jewish people or abusing them, and no third option of "treat them fairly like everyone else."
I think the lack of such an option says a LOT about the poster.
11/3/2011 9:14:43 AM
But Germany did suffer. Deportations of Germans from eastern Europe, loss of WWII, divided in two for 45 years.
Not, of course, that this makes this theory any more true.
11/3/2011 9:55:17 AM
Germany is a better country than it was back then. That's why it's doing well. You fail.
11/3/2011 9:55:39 AM
The answer is, the bible is a myth and any prophesy in it is worth as much as the output of a magic 8 ball.
11/3/2011 10:11:43 AM
Yeah, that makes sense. During the war Germany actually did suffer a lot from Hitler's thugs and from bombardments by the Allies, and the division that resulted after the war. Whereas Japan, despite its many crimes against Chinese, Americans, Indonesians, Philipinos, Dutch, Australians and more actually ignored Germany's calls to exterminate all jews living in Japan and the territories it conquered because middle-class jews had been useful in building up the Japanese businesses and industries thanks to their connections in the western world and finances at their disposal. And we all know Japan's fate in World War 2 wasn't the least bit as bad as Germany and-
Oh. Oh my...
