Okay, I don't see HOW pointing out that that wasn't how things were done at there school makes them an idiot. It's a statement of fact. Further, they didn't say "No woman should ever be allowed to be king," they said "It was understood that the king was male."
Know how they did it at my high school, less than 5 years ago? They had the female students in the eligible grades (we had Homecoming King/Queen and Prince/Princess) on one list to be voted on for Queen/Princess and the male students on another for King/Prince. You put a check next to the 5 people you wanted for the first round, and then the 1 for the final (for each gender). It would NOT have been possible for a girl to be elected Homecoming King, because their name would not have been on the ballot.
Do I get to be called an idiot for saying it was done differently at my school, too? Because that sounds fun and not judgmental at all.
