The major difference between most liberal and conservative newspapers is not the columnists or editorial views expressed, but how they handle the news. Liberal newspapers just can get past the spin. They feel a need to support democrats, no matter what position they take or comment they make. If they do finally admit that some democrat has made a mistake or taken a virtually indefensible position, they’ll either utterly excuse them or make sure they list all the times that republicans have done likewise. When it comes to news, conservative newspapers tend to be fair to a fault. Most simply refuse to bend journalistic standards for anyone’s political gain.
