Quote# 84871

What have we learned from OWS:

Idiots have a herd instinct, even if it clogs traffic.
Morons behave like animals when you get them En-mass.
Liberals are more of a threat to POTUS than conservatives.
The media paints these bums in a positive light-not reporting their vandalism.
The protest has gathered to detract the public from failed Obama policies.
These gathering don't solve problems--rather they create them.
OWS is nothing more than a mob composed of troublemakers, drug addicts and vandals.
Liberalism appeals to the drug and criminal element.

welcome to hipster central

That's just, like, your opinion, man.

What we have learned from Inzl Kett:

He really doesn't understand what OWS is about.
He gets all his news from Fox.
He has never had a calm, rational conversation with a political liberal in his life.

Just a 1 percenter being all whiny about how the fucked over aren't taking it in the ass.

1. Yes they do. *cough Tea Party cough*
2. Again, Tea Party.
3. No. No one group is more of a threat than any other based of right or left leanings. It's the intent ant the zealousness of any group given political group that determines threat level.
4. No. Each magazine has a different opinion of them. Read, dumbass.
5. Even if that was the intention, which I highly doubt, it didn't detract from anything the president has done.
6. Many of the protests have been quite peaceful, especially in the begining of the movement.
7. Unless you've personally met every single protester, your ignorance is showing.
9. I consider myself to be left-minded and yet I do not use drugs or participate in criminal activity.

11/21/2011 10:29:16 PM

Do you often give morons enemas? Oh, wait, you are trying to say en masse, aren't you?

The media mostly try to find something bad on the protesters, and side with the police. It's hard though, when the protesters stand still and the police attacks, and even arrest journalists for filming the event.

"Liberalism appeals to the drug and criminal element."

Because it offers them the vote when modern American laws have all but disenfranchised them.

On topic however:
What I have learned from OWS:
1. That Americans are sharper and more intelligent than I previously gave them credit for.
2. That the attitudes of the average American is not at all reflected in US media or among US leadership.
3. That there is hope yet that America can turn around its decline.
4. That the people on Wall St have become so insular and sheltered that their attitudes have warped and become monstrous.
5. That the police haven't gotten any better since the 1970's.

"These gathering don't solve problems--rather they create them."

That is actually the literal point of protesting, to become a problem, one that can only be solved for the people in power by catering to the wishes of the protesters so they'll shut up and go away.

"OWS is nothing more than a mob composed of troublemakers, drug addicts and vandals."

Better known as the poor and unemployed.

"The media paints these bums in a positive light-not reporting their vandalism."

Seriously? Most big news companies have shit all over OWS for the most part by only reporting what bigwigs (who hate them) say about them in articles and searching for the fringe nuts to make funny news clips. So far the only footage of police violence I've seen has come from youtube and has been nowhere to be seen on the news.

Fuck you! OWS! I go to school in Washington, so I've been down to Occupy DC a few times. A lot of the protesters were regular people who were fed up. Just like your precious Tea Party.

"I don't agree with this people so I'm going to brand them all drug addicts and vandals."

The two first sentences may well apply to many of you. Beware the slippery slopes.
