ATF agents monitored (albeit poorly) bought at border gun shows by private sellers who didn't need to run checks to track the gun's distribution to find out who was buying them as a whole. These are the same people bitching about this are those who protest whenever the state wishes to fix the loophole. Fucking morons.

As far as I know, Obama has never said anything about gun rights, in fact I think he supports leaving the laws as they are, or letting the states decide what is appropriate. The rest of your post is just wishful thinking.

This is the conservative right's answer for any politician who legally enacts laws they don't like. When Republicans enact laws taking away our freedom, they're our duly elected representatives taking measures to protect us. When Democrats do it, they're traitors who need to be impeached & imprisoned!
Not like the Obama administration has even suggested tightening of gun laws, anyway, and in fact we have even more gun freedoms now.
