[on the origin of different races]
Obviously Adam and Eve held the genetic information for the different variations that eventually resulted in offspring. Adam and Eve were probably Asian as that is the medium between black and white. Grey can give you both black and white but you can't get black from just white.

...This is just so wrong. And frustrating. And moronic. And pitiful.
Other than a tedious listing of all the conceivable ways in which Jonz's statement is stupid, it's just easier to cover it all with the blanket statement: l2genetics.
Also, l2colourspectrum.
Obviously?!?
Accepting that fairy tale as true for the sake argument...your point is moot. Your gawd flooded the entire world leaving only 1 Semitic family left to populate everything.
How come we don't all look like a Middle-Easterner?
Asian Indian or Aisian Philippinian, or Asian Russian, or Asian Chinese?
In my eyes Chinese people are more white than Caucasians; we're more pinkish beige than white.
Gray? Where they sickly?
This is from Yahoo Answers, so I'm expecting troll, but if I'm wrong, then let me say that Adam and Eve never existed because if they did exist, they would not have had enough genetic diversity to spawn different races, let alone a stable population that would grow instead of dying out. Read up on the consequences of inbreeding sometime, Jonz.
??? Oh, it's Yahoo answers, never mind.
This is the kind of answers you get from people who don't understand evolution and melanin development.
I would say, "ask a stupid question" but this is more a case of, "ask a stupid person a question and get a stupid answer." The origin of the races is a well-documented process of natural selection to adapt to different environments. Just because you don't like the answer, that doesn't mean you have to keep asking the question, over and over and over and over ....
And verily the LORD did populate the land between the Reivers Indus and Ganges, and He saw that it was Good. And He created Bollywood, and the sounds did drift up to His ears, and He heard that it was better. And the man said the woman of Bollywood is a goddess. And the LORD, being a small, petty bastard, was pissed, and they were banished from paradise.
Well, I can see the logic he was attempting, at least. Horrible, flawed logic, but at least he made an attempt. Someone give him a cookie and a juice box and send him out to play.
basic genetics.
basic properties of light and materials.
if you have all colors reflected you appear white. Reflect no light you appear black. reflect some comors and not others and you may appear brown or yellow , or blue or green. Since africans had to live and hunt in the dark jungles of Africa (work with me here) God made them non-reflective so they would disapear in the darkness and be safe from animals. It got ruined if they smiled showing bright white teeth.
In the beginning God made man from clay. After he baked the first one he wasnt happy because it was overdone and black. He tried again and this time it came out white, obviously underdone. God tried again , this time it came out a perfect golden yellow color which was just right.

Maybe it was a mutation in the melanin levels ? No thats not poetic.
Gray? Eyes and hair can be gray, but if you see a gray-skinned person, it is either one of those miserable silver-eaters, or a denizen of the morgue.
No, no, the greys are the aliens who come here to give humans anal probes.
BTW, grey is a color between black & white. It can't give either color.
Eh, if he wasn't a troll, he was probably referring to SW Asians/Arabs, which are called brown and which Jews descended from.
Either way, we have studied the genetics and concluded that indeed, it was Africans.
Actually it's possible to become grey skinned, just look at Stan Jones here:

This is 100% real, not photoshopped. He turned grey because he took silver as a "medicine" due to Y2K fears.
But as far as Jonz's strange, stupid idea of genetics, the fact that it's on Yahoo! Answers says it all.

No, this is the kind of answers you get from people who have shit for brains, or from the moderators on the BAUT forum, which is basically the same thing.
Obviously Adam and Eve held the genetic information for the different variations that eventually resulted in offspring.
If you had stopped here, you would have been fine. I mean, you're still trying to cram your myth into reality, but it's not all that bad.
But then you continue. Why do you morons always continue?
Hahahah you're funny.
Nevermind the environmental factors that influenced the various 'races' we humans have defined, such as climate, distance from the Equator, and diet. Nah, none of those things could have had any impact.
Grey can give you both black and white but you can't get black from just white.
But you can get white from black. In fact, there are albinos with two black parents. So probably Adam and Eve were black. That thought ought to get the average Southern white fundie's knickers in a twist.
I have a friend who is mixed Somali/Ethiopian with a Yemeni grandmother. Which is pretty mixed and I would say she looks just fine.
But not grey. Any more than any of my Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Filipino friends do.
In fact the only grey person I have ever seen is me after a bad night.
@ Ppenguinator
This person clearly doesn't understand how paint works.
Actually, the last part is true; you don't get black from mixing white. I mix paint every day. To get dark colors we start with a clear base and add pigment. But grey giving both black and white, or any of the other crazy shit - just no.
Interesting note:
Recently a couple in South Africa gave birth to a Caucasian child. Please note that this was a typical African couple and this child was Caucasian in every respect, this child was not an albino. Similarly, this could not come about with regards to mixed race breeding as that results in children that have mix of the parents skin tones. (We call them coloureds in South Africa.)
I personally think this birth was one of the most interesting random scenarios in genetics in a long time. Of course it also provides ample evidence of the common decent of mankind from Africa, as well as proving that Mr Jonz opinion is absolute garbage.
It's funny that I've lived for 36 years in a part of South Africa populated by many people of Asian (primarily Indian) descent, and I've never seen a grey one. I guess those can only be found in the morgue, or in a fundie's demented alternative universe.
Things Jonz appears to think, based on this post:
1. Asian people are grey.
2. That Chinese guy you ran into at the supermarket is totally halfway between ebony-black and pale-goth-white.
3. Adam and Eve were the mystical Keepers Of The Genes!! (Ok, this last one was just a joke.)
@emau99
Show me a race of gray-skinned people.
What's the problem?
Everybody used to be gray. Here's proof:

They were all gray until the 60's when they turned into "living color".

I have a co-worker who is dark brown. He is half-European.
John
There's no real genetic difference between black and white people. Both have skin pigment. Black people just have more of it. Same with brown and blue eyes. Both are the result of the same brown pigment.
An albino human (of certain type) does not have pigment. The pupils are red, iris palest blue or pink, skin pink. Hair is either white or pale yellow.
because of course everyone knows that thats how races arise... dumbass.
also, the earliest homo sapiens weren't asian or caucasian, they were negroid.
Reproduction and the reproductive act...
How the hell do they work?
Jonz obviously knows not and likely never will.
Confused?
