In fact, in many cases:
Christian = double standard morals and ethics, chuck full of hypocrisy, with indirect accountability.
atheist = single standard morals and ethics, no excuses, no cop outs, with direct accountability.
Why do the more fundamentalist Christians always assume they have a monopoly on morals? The most important works on ethics are pre-Christian: Confucius, early Greek philosophers, etc. Even the Babylonian Gilgamesh epic is moralistic.

Atheism may be best defined as a boring, private, and personal, position of not buying the existence of any gods.
It requires assuming personal responsibility rather than waiting for a god to fix everything.
It tends to promote portecting one's reasoning ability, and avoiding self harming habbits like mind screwing drugs or exessive alcohol.
It almost requires active volunteering in one's community.

Why are there immigrant populations in European cities? 1, because those countries had empires which conquered foreign territories and claimed their land, and the citizens of those territories were encouraged to think of themselves as citizens of the colonizing country and encouraged in some cases to settle there, to be used as cheap labour just as they were in the colony. 2, The tactic of divide and rule. If you put immigrant populations, with a different culture, in traditionalist working class communities, there is bound to be conflict, and this kind of diversion and lack of unity is useful to the powers that be. The issue of atheism is simply irrelevant here.

Where did this stupid meme that atheism and islam are the same thing start, anyway? I've seen it in more than one place - this stupid idea that somehow both atheists and muslims are in some sort of alliance together. Anyone with any ounce of sense would understand that would be the stupidist alliance for atheists to make, ever. "What, you want an Islamic theocracy? Well, that sounds wonderful for us atheists. Why I think we'd fare very well under such a regime, sign me up!"
