Why are all of you being so mean? Don't you know that faith trumps facts, except when the facts happen to align with faith? /sarc
Sometimes I just want to bundle all of the Raptards off into their own quiet, peaceful little compound somewhere remote, without any outside media access, so they could moan and wring their hands in blissful seclusion. We could send them food, clothing (hair shirts?), ammo, KJVs, fainting couches, etc. on a regular basis to keep them happy. Maybe we could have guided tours now and then. It would be a win/win all around.

The "swords into plowshares" bit is actually in the Old Testament, but who's counting? ;-)
Interestingly enough, the disciples, i.e at least Peter, appear to have been armed. When Jesus was arrested prior to his execution, Peter attacked one of the high priest's servants, a man named Malchus, and cut off one of his ears with a sword. However, instead of sounding "charge" and battling his way to freedom, Jesus told Peter to put the sword back in it's sheath while he himself went off to relieve his martyr complex.

---I don't know anything about this shooting, but reading between the lines of the posting, I assume that a student (a minor?) got his/her hands on a gun and did a Columbine. So how did a student/minor get a gun? If it was illegally, then some adult is responsible and should be made to answer for it. If you want to have a gun, you have to be responsible for it. Nodoubt the gunman/woman committed suicide.
