Quote# 85350

The non-Christmas Xmas tree at the WH is a perfect symbol of democrat-muslim anti-Christian secularism that must be in place to satisfy liberals.

The liberal resentment of Christmas is understandable since liberals are not generally much more than OWS vagrants looking outside in at families with traditional trees, warm clean homes with Bing Crosby playing (laugh – the man could sing), friends, food, Tom&Jerrys, gifts, a sense of childhood and a respect for something larger than oneself.

Everything about Christmas is antithetical to a liberal’s self-centered, life position. They have to destroy it.

The BO tree speaks the attempt to destroy Christmas in a hypocritical way in not acknowledging Christianity – why not just put in a prayer rug where the Holiday-Solstice tree is now?

That's strange, I thought the conservatives were the selfish ones.

Doubting Thomas

I admit I don't know a lot about Muslims, but I don't think they put up Christmas trees.

And Bing Crosby smoked marijuana and probably beat his children. How's that for traditional values?

The Dude Abides

"democrat-muslim anti-Christian secularism"? Surely you forgot homosexual communist satanic pagan evolutionist? When will fundies learn to tell the difference between the things they hate?

Oh, it's that laxative guy, again. Hi, Fiber-All! Long time no see. Guess Mr. Laxative had to catch up on his quota of constipated crankiness quotes. As usual, he's full of scat.

You say happy holidays, they get pissed for you not calling it Christmas. You put up a holiday tree they scream it is a Christmas tree and they call you the devil.

These mother fuckers just can't be happy, there is always something to bitch about.

I never understood why anyone would put up a dead tree to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Did they have evergreens in Bethlahem ? I dont think so.

And giving each other gifts ? whats with that ?
should not christians spend the day at church giving thanks for what they have and praising their chosen Lord ? How does it glorify God by giving expensive gifts and stuffing yourself with turkey, ham and other foods.

Ham is from pigs and they are a forbidden food anyway. "Eatest not the flesh of the demon infested pig , for its curly tail offends mine eye, and its porcine breath befouls the very air which I have given thee. Pork suasage patties are entirely of SATAN.

Happy x-mas all

Tom & Jerry's? Cats and mice running about? Or did this one mean Ben & Jerry's as in ice cream? Not only don't they know their holy book, they seem a bit lost with a grocery list.

Thinking Allowed

Bing Crosby sang "White Christmas". Nowhere in that song is there any mention of the christian god. Kind of fails the whole christianity angle for you.

12/24/2011 9:13:10 AM

Ok, it´s a Christian symbol. At least be consequent about that when people remove it BECAUSE IT SYMBOLISES a concrete religion and goes against the constitution, don´t whine.

12/24/2011 9:32:19 AM

So, short of turning the country over to Southern Baptist preachers, there's nothing a Democrat can do related to Christmas which isn't disingenuous.

"A liberal's self-centered, life position?!?"

Oh STFU. Some of the major hallmarks of a liberal position is fairness and caring for others. Conservatives? Not so much.

12/24/2011 9:52:16 AM

This is a lot of fail. They're desperate to say he's not Christian.

12/24/2011 10:04:40 AM

'Scuse me, what window is he looking in...a time machine? If he's old enough to be nostalgic for 1950, he shouldn't be exciting himself so much. As for those of us who were kids then, I'd say he's leaving out all the terribly boring and increasingly drunk and rude adults we tried so unsuccessfully to hide from.

12/24/2011 10:07:36 AM

Tom & Jerry was an eggnog- and- hard- liquor concoction that people probably gave up drinking around 1958, when we found out about cholesterol.

When are they going to figure out there's no opponent in this fictional war on Christmas?

I'm an atheist but I say "Merry Christmas." I like Christmas. Just because the whole nativity and baby Jesus thing isn't true shouldn't ruin a good story.

P.S. I did get two Christmas cards "from the White House" (in other words I'm on their donators list) and one said "happy holidays" and the other "holiday season." If I could find a fundie where I live I'd show them to him and watch him throw a hissy fit.

Philbert McAdamia

Last night on "Monk", after he shot Santa Claus and became the pariah of all San Francisco, he walked into a nativity scene at a mall and tripped over the manger, knocking the Baby Jesus out onto the floor, and stepped on him. Not only do I love that more than I can express, I also love wondering how the fundies are taking it, if they were watching. Well, they do revel in their misery and "persecution", so I guess it's all good. ROFLMAO.

BTW, isn't the idea of bringing nature into the house (tree, holly, mistletoe) a pagan thing?

12/24/2011 10:30:46 AM

"The non-Christmas Xmas tree at the WH"

Would that be the tree that is officially called a CHRISTMAS TREE by any chance? Why yes, yes it is... your rant is hereby invalidated. Please fuck off.

J. James

Ahh, the smell of bullshit in the morn. The destruction of Christmas is imminent every year, despite the fact that Christmas only grows and grows until it occupies 1/3 of the year... Also, "Secular Muslim democrats?" oh hell no. Just because you're a dumbfuck bigot that hates everyone that's not in your shallow little group does NOT mean those "outside" groups are AFFILIATED WITH ONE ANOTHER.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays FSTDT!

vagrants looking outside in at families with traditional trees, warm clean homes with Bing Crosby playing (laugh – the man could sing), friends, food, Tom&Jerrys, gifts, a sense of childhood and a respect for something larger than oneself.

He forgot: closet alcoholism, hypocrisy, psychological child abuse, chemical turkeys, tax evasion, triple mortgages for living far above one's means, rampant snobbery, double standard ethics, dishonesty, etc.

Yeah, Merry Christmas. Jesus is waiting for you. You won't like it.

Quick, somebody send this guy a link to the video of Bing Crosby and David Bowie singing "Little Drummer Boy."

12/24/2011 11:50:49 AM

Okay, what dimension do you live in?

12/24/2011 11:51:39 AM

Hey, shitbrains, not just your religion has a holiday around this time of year...in fact, if you read through history you'll see this was a pagan holiday you stole to get popularity.

Also i say Happy Holidays to avoid having to give the mini speech when it comes to wishing people happy holidays. Sorry you view this as hate...but I think it shows the rest of us just what kind of heart you have

"The non-Christmas Xmas tree at the WH is a perfect symbol of democrat-muslim anti-Christian secularism that must be in place to satisfy liberals."

And the Christmas Tree in your house Fibber, is the perfect symbol of how Christianity is so bereft of it's own culture & traditions that it had to hijack the original Pagan Winter Solstice Festival and claim it as it's own, when it had absolutely no right to whatsoever.

We Liberal, Secularist, Atheists celebrate it for three reasons:

1- Because we're taking back what was never yours, on behalf of Wiccans.

2- Because we know it pisses off you fundies no end.

3- Because we can.

Deal with it.

Have a Mary Crudmas and a Hairy Nude Year, Fibber. X3

The Christmas Tree is a pagan hangover from Germany, brought to the United Kingdom by the German husband of Queen Victoria about 170 years ago. It has nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity.

[redacted previous comment for length]

You know what? I'll just stick with "you make me sick."

Yeah. That works.

12/24/2011 12:10:50 PM

There are many other beliefs in America not just the one of Christianity.

People shouldn't have to look around this holiday season and feel alienated by the fact that they don't believe the same things.

Christians are so obnoxious and loud about matters like this they cant see through there tunnel field vision that people believe different things, besides this holiday has become nothing cash grubbing money fest which has lost all mean in the perversion of time.
