In Europe (at least in the Northern parts), we kinda like Socialism, the ideology focused on helping your fellow man, regardless of profit to yourself.

Socialism, fascism? No, it's another "ism" that's the problem. That problem is called Capitalism. Obama is simply a centrist, maybe centre-right. He believes in a market, and was supported by some of the wealthiest people on earth.
There is a large sector on the right in America who are just living in a fantasy land, where everything is opposite to real life.

I know Nazi is short for National Socialist, but really it was more like German fascism, which is RIGHT wing, which would certainly explain the alliance between Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy.
