"In the entire Bible, you will not find a single philosophical argument for the existence of God. It is simply assumed."
And that is the core of the problem. There is no evidence presented to support this position. There are threats (you'll burn in hell for eternity), and ad-hominems (one who does not believe is both stupid and blind, considered a fool, too dull to understand, or too wicked to want to...), but no evidence.

A book that demands blind obedience mocks those who have the sense to not follow it? Shocking!

In the entire Bible, you will not find a single philosophical argument for the existence of God. It is simply assumed.
And that is why I think you are full of shit. I don't assume the existence of god, I need proof, and your side has never been able to provide any.
As for the old nugget about "the fool says in his heart there is no god."
I should be surprised a book trying to convince people to believe would call non-believers anything else?

Considering that Yhwh was regarded as a particular TRIBAL god (remember: the original Hebrews were henotheists, NOT monotheists), it probably wasn't considered necessary.
I don't think you'll, meanwhile, find a lot of native North American legends that argue in that sense for the existence of manitous. Or Greek legends that argue for the existence of the theoi. Or Shintou legends that argue for the existence of the kami. Or Kemetian legends that argue for the existence of the neterw. And so on. Formal logic was in its infancy back then, remember that.

In other words, you are expected to believe without proof or evidence. Most believers who go down this road at least claim that everyone knows in their hearts that God exists, but this argument doesn't even have that. It is literally argumentum ad baculum and victim-blaming in their purest forms. Surely it must be just a coincidence that those are the most despicable of all logical fallacies...?

And that is exactly what is wrong with the Bible. It does not offer any convincing evidence that God exists except for "This book proves God exists." It tries to use lots of fear and intimidation, but no solid proof.

No, it's baldly asserted by the Levis. "Oy! We're so cursed! We can't do real work! And by the way, God wants a nice lamb and half a chicken. None of those vegetables now! Make with the "sacrifice"! We ain't got all day! Or, you could write a check?"

You're stupid and blind. We do not see what there is not to see. You act blindly. You do not recognize any purpose in existence without your fairy tales. You do not recognize the truth and typically do everything wrong. You are so unperceptive that you cannot be trusted. You say there is a God because you are a fool. You are too blind to see that there is no God anywhere, your else you are too selfish to share your own world with anyone who thinks differently.

@His4Life, your god needs slaves why? I thought you claimed he was omnipotent.
As for the bible, it can't even count the legs on an insect. Why should I care what it claims about atheists?

Of course the Bible also says that you believers must approach the scriptures as children (ignorantly, simply and credulously.)
P.S. Not addressing a debating point does not mean that you have won the debate.

I was asking the Rabbi, not you. I'd like a Jewish answer, given that nowhere in Torah does it say anything about any kind of afterlife.
