Evolution and Ebay
I have not really researched the subject of evolution on Ebay, but I do know Ebay. So, how about it you Evo's? Are you ready to put your money where your mouth is? How about if we start the bid off at $486 for a Rare Genuine Dinosaur Track Foot Print Fossil? Any takers? Who wants to make the first bid?

Why would someone bid on that just because they believe in evolution? I mean, it would be a neat thing to have, I suppose, but really, just because you're not interesting in owning it hardly means evolution is a fraud.
Well, since I don't have an account on Christian Forums (and ain't gonna sign up), can anyone explain to me the link between scholarly research and eBay?
I'm not finding any intuitive link between the two ...
Yea, honestly, I would not trust that any fossils on ebay are authentic. And if they are, i would suspect that they are stolen. Most people who find them are palentologists with some integrity, and would not give such a specimen to the highest bidder, but rather to a museum, or some other intellectual institution.
Jesse, the link perfectly clear. If you can buy it on ebay, it must exist. So if you can buy evolution on ebay, it must exists. But you can't buy evolution on ebay, therefore it doesn't exist.
Ahhh. The "Argument from eBay." Got it.
(On the other hand, the advertising currently says "Whatever IT is, you can get IT on eBay." Since, obviously, absolute truth does exist, somewhere, we -should- be able to get IT on eBay. This smacks of false advertising!!!!!)
*sigh* not this pig-ignorant twat again....
(apologies to pigs, who are considerably more intelligent than JR7)
Wow, that goes beyond grasping at straws. At that level of desperation, you might as well just give up and become an atheist, sheesh.
$486 for a piece of junk that my wife would throw in the trash the day it arrived? Nah.
Doesn't mean the dinosaur didn't exist, and ceased to exist not less than 65-odd million years ago, though.
We don't have to collect iconic items to believe in fossils, you're trying to equate science fans with your trinket collecting religions again.
A VARIFIED fossil is worth money and would certainly find a market. I prefer reference books or scientific discovery articles at the most, I don't have to prove my interest by, say, having 18 copies of the same edition.
I have a piece of the Cross Jesus was crucified on, and totally NOT a piece of fence I broke off from the back 20. I'll start the bidding at $3000. What, you do believe in Jesus, right?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
