The hypocrisy found in the GOP is astounding.

Comrade Potatovich

That's it, Newt. You're going to Hell for sure now.

1/30/2012 5:17:10 AM

Most people would try their damnedest to take all knowledge of their affairs to the grave. Newt Gingrich? He doesn't even have the common courtesy to do that. He's got my vote... as a Cheating Dishonest Backstabbing Bastard of the Month.

On another note, I wonder if there is such a thing as the Horrible Person Awards? The idea may be short-lived, but still.

Not everybody is an arse like you, Newt.

I have no problem with people having multiple partners, but not, and Newt clearly doesn't get this, not if you've solemnly promised not to.

Who the fuck are this guy's advisors!??!

Is it just me or does Callista seem to be the archetype for the Stepford wives?!

Nope! Newt, you are still a complete prick.

If you can't hide it (anymore) try to put a positive spin on it. Shit like this only works with Republicans and only the last decade or so, their base IS getting dumber and more idoliatrous.

But hey, maybe Newts right! The patriotic thing for all Americans to do today is cheat on their wives then blame their love of country for it. Years ago even trailor-park trash wouldn't fall for that.

Mister Spak

So you hounded Clinton for 7 years at a cost to taxpayers of 70 million dollars because he was normal?

"So, I think in that sense, it may make me more normal than somebody who wanders around seeming perfect and maybe not understanding the human condition and the challenges of life for normal people."

'What a bounder, ne'er-do-well and cad! I wager his trousers have been up 'n' down more times than I've raised & lowered the jolly ol' Union Flag at reveille & last post during my command in His Majesty's Third Foot & Mouth, up the Khyber Pass! 'Newt', eh?! In all the times I've been crocodile wrangling in Australia, daresay I've crushed under boot-heel many of the slimy little buggers like him, whenever I've wrestled many a fearsome man-eating reptile in the waters Down Under! And I couldn't give a flounder's fart about what that ol' Lefty Red Ken Leninspart says about 'em, or how they're 'endangered' (cont. P. 94) [You're fired. Ed.]

And 'twas in India that I met & married 'She Who Must Be Obeyed', and have been with her to this day, wot?! Divorcing one's good lady wife - even whilst she was afflicted - and marrying another when the ink on the divorce papers is barely dry?! Simply not cricket! If I ever travel to the Colonies, I'll give this Yankee blackguard a damn good thrashing, and devil take the 2nd Amendment, as I've got my trusty Webley, should he dare do the same with me!'

'I get tuppence on each of 'em! Oheuheuheuh! They don't write 'em like that anymore!' (Major Denis Bloodnok [Peter Sellers], "The Goon Show")

Ermmmmm, well, suffice to say that for those not au fait with English history, culture & comedy, it'd take me too long to explain...! XP X3

@Comrade Potatovich

I'd argue that there is no Hell, but I'm pretty sure the groundbreaking ceremony was held the day Gingrich served his wife with divorce papers while she was in a hospital bed with cancer.

1/30/2012 7:07:17 AM

Doubting Thomas

In other words, "Traditional values of family, marriage, and morality should be followed by everyone but me."

And I really hope Newt's current wife doesn't ever get so much as a cold, because Newt has a bad track record of divorcing his current wife when she's ill.

1/30/2012 7:09:34 AM

Noneofyourbusiness

Most people don't have affairs, whatever TV may have led you to believe. So, are you planning to cheat on your current wife too? 'Cause you just walked into that quagmire.

1/30/2012 7:11:31 AM

Yes Newt leaving your wife while she's getting treated for cancer is completely normal in human conditioning

"So, I think in that sense, it may make me more normal than somebody who wanders around seeming perfect and maybe not understanding the human condition and the challenges of life for normal people."

Uh huh. So what about this "sanctity of marriage" crap you and your party like to throw around all the time? Or doesn't that apply to your fat little hypocritical ass? Do as I say, not as I do, right Newt?

You're aware that adultery is a sin, aren't you? Since you're so concerned with the "sins" of others, shouldn't you be at least a little troubled by your own?

1/30/2012 7:35:25 AM

Apatheist

Do we actually want just a normal person for president? I want someone that holds to the highest standards(not that I'd find any politician like that).

1/30/2012 7:39:55 AM

If I can follow Newt's logic,

- child molesters should be put in charge of family councils because they understand children better than those awful normal people,

- murderers on death row should all become county sheriffs and district attorneys because when it comes to violent crime they're more normal that those wuss 'peaceful, law abiding citizens',

- con artists should take over the banking system

etc.

This Newt guy is just plain sick.

So under ordinary circumstances, fundies want people to be monogamous, but when it suits them, suddenly fornication and adultery are okay.

Stay classy, Teabaggers.

Newt isn't daft. He may well be an evil fuck but he's not stupid. He knows full well that in a political system as fundamentally screwed as America's, (or any other Western nations for that matter), a majority of the electorate vote along party lines irrespective of personalities or policies.
Besides he probably figures that most Republican voters have affairs, so he can appeal to them.

P.S. Thank Darwin for Beer, it enables me to wash the foul taste of mentioning Newt and "appeal" in the same sentence from my mouth.

Bwahahahahahaha!

Oh, this is rich. I have to wonder how many will agree with this statement, even among Newt's supporters.
