The Absence of Transitional Forms
This is one of the most potent arguments against evolution I have ever come across. It has never, to my knowledge, been effectively countered by any evolutionist.

Basically the evolutionist believes that transitional forms happen "all the time" throughout history. So we don't actually need to look at fossil records to establish evolution - all we need to do is LOOK AROUND US and OBSERVE all the billions of transitional forms and species which - according to the evolutionist - should be running about the day. Since, according to the evolutionist, change is slow and gradual, then we be able to observe many forms which things like three legs, half a fin, one wing, etc.

So why can't we see them? Did evolution grind to a sudden halt over the past 150 years since Darwin declared its existence? That would be a bit odd, would it not???!!!

So, evolutionists, show me the evidence. Who needs to concern themselves with the fossil record when according to your own THEORY transitional entities should be ALL AROUND US - walking, swimming, crawling or flying.

Everything alive is a transitional form, you moron.

This would be easy, showing you, say, a nautilus with its pinhole camera eyes, for example, if I weren't absolutely certain you'd claim it weren't a transitional form and "fully nautilus" or some nonsense. Because you haven't understood, well, anything.

Mycobacterium Tuberculosis, moron. If you think nothing evolves, please insist your doctor prescribe Streptomycin should you ever get infected with it. Do be sure to report how well that worked out for you.

Aside from the fact that, by definition, every living species is a transitional form because Evolution is a continuous process...

The Whale. It has hip bones but no legs. These hip bones serve no purpose in the modern Whale, but when it was a land mammal back in the distant past they were quite useful in connecting its legs to its body.

Just one of many, many examples of vestigial body parts in animals that used to serve a purpose in a past stage of evolution.

That's because every time one of us explains it, you just cover your ears and yell "LALALALALALA."

Garvan, trouble yourself no more. No need to worry about ridiculous evolution, I found the truth in this book. It said in the book that this mighty magic spirit called Bible God poofed things into existence and probably made then appear fully formed out of thin air.

Most likely the magic spirit knew magic spells that were even more potent than the usual Hocus Pocus, Abracadabra sort of spell. This magic spirit, who, incidentally, looks exactly like me, Pule Thamex, also murmured some magic spells and made night and day and done lots of other amazing supernatural things.

This proves you don't need to bother with things you don't like. Things like evolution and psychiatry, specially when you've mental health problems.

What about the duck-billed platypus? They kind of look like what you think transitional forms are.

"This is one of the most potent arguments against evolution I have ever come across. It has never, to my knowledge, been effectively countered by any evolutionist."

Then your knowledge is miniscule. Open a book on the subject.

"Basically the evolutionist believes that transitional forms happen "all the time" throughout history. So we don't actually need to look at fossil records to establish evolution - all we need to do is LOOK AROUND US and OBSERVE all the billions of transitional forms and species which - according to the evolutionist - should be running about the day. No evolutionist has ever claimed that any species in history has had three legs, half a fin, or one wing. If you want to argue against evolution, you should really learn what evolution is.

"So why can't we see them? Did evolution grind to a sudden halt over the past 150 years since Darwin declared its existence? That would be a bit odd, would it not???!!!"

We can see them. Every species is in transition, because every species is evolving. The reason you can't see it over 150 years is because evolution occurs over millions of years. Again, you seem wilfully ignorant of what evolution actually is. Adding redundant exclamations and question marks does not disguise your ignorance.

"... transitional entities should be ALL AROUND US - walking, swimming, crawling or flying."

Every. Single. Living. Organism. Is. A. Transitional. Form.

You lack basic understanding, just because you refuse to open a book, or read a basic description on a website, or listen to someone describe the process. Learn what the theory of evolution actually means before you try to poke holes in it.

godless heathen

The problem with these people is that what they want as evidence is one species spontaneously changing into something else. Problem is, this would not support evolution, it would disprove it.

If you show them an actual transitional form, they will say something like "god made it that way" and ignore or deny any real evidence put in front of them. There's just no point in trying to argue with the wilfully ignorant

All fossils are transitional, dumbass. You uneducated knuckle-draggers need to understand that Evolution is not one species just transforming into another instantaneously.

If everything adapts to the environment gradually, then everything is transitional.

God, people are fucking stupid.

Doubting Thomas

Transitional forms =/= crockoduck. And what the hell is "half a fin?" Either an animal has a fin or it doesn't. "Half a fin" would just mean a smaller fin than a different animal.

What's the point in even trying to convince creationists of it anyway? They'll just continue to stick their fingers in their ears and say "la la la la." Then when you finally give up they'll claim victory and say, "See? Nobody can show any transitional forms!" If they really wanted to learn about it, all they have to do is Google.

"This is one of the most potent arguments against evolution I have ever come across. It has never, to my knowledge, been effectively countered by any evolutionist."

Look in a mirror.

Tada! A transitional form between your parents and your offspring. You're also a transitional form between Homo sapiens and whatever comes next.

"Basically the evolutionist believes that transitional forms happen "all the time" throughout history."

Every time something is born, as a matter of fact.

"So we don't actually need to look at fossil records to establish evolution - all we need to do is LOOK AROUND US and OBSERVE all the billions of transitional forms and species which - according to the evolutionist - should be running about the day."

True. Just look around. The fossil record is just better at showing transitionals.

"Since, according to the evolutionist, change is slow and gradual, then we be able to observe many forms which things like three legs, half a fin, one wing, etc."

Why is it you people expect such things? That's nowhere near what a transitional form is.

"So why can't we see them?"

Stubbornness would be my guess.

"So, evolutionists, show me the evidence. Who needs to concern themselves with the fossil record when according to your own THEORY transitional entities should be ALL AROUND US - walking, swimming, crawling or flying."

Again, look in a mirror.
