At least there's a chance you'll grow out of your ignorance, selfishness and bigotry.

Except that it DOESN'T affect you. A marriage between two gay people only becomes other people's business when they insist on inserting themselves into it and creating a problem that wasn't actually there.
It's exactly the same as saying "I don't think people of different religions than mine should be allowed to practice their faith because it offends mine."
And just for your information, you cannot choose your orientation any more than you can change your skin color. You can change it on a surface level, but it's still who you are. It doesn't go away, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.
Also, first for once. X3
edit: DAMN! Not first for once. TT^TT

Well, SOMEBODY needs to get out from under Mommy and Daddy's thumb for awhile and take a little trip to the real world.

"Even though some kids think it's fine, they have no idea what kind of wonderful experiences they miss out on."
And you have no idea of the wonderful experiences that you are missing out on by not having two parents of the same gender.

Like what, precisely? Being heterosexual doesn't turn one into Mary Poppins.

What the fuck is a 14yo doing testifying about something like that to lawmakers? That's absolutely ridiculous.
I'd love hear from this kid again in five years. I've seen a few sweet 14yo's turn into cocain sniffling alcoholic deadbeats within those five years.

So of all the people the fundies could send to help them in their "Crusade for Truth", they send a Middle schooler to play the sympathetic little kid ploy... what's bad is how his arguments are pure bullcrap, "Today is my birthday" huh? Seems like someone is going to learn the life-lesson of "you're not special" the hard way. Not to mention getting a crapton of other facts like "being gay is a choice" wrong...

"People have the choice to be gay, but I don't want to be affected by their choice."
1) If sexuality is a choice, then when did you chose to be heterosexual?
2) I don't your choice to be heterosexual to affect me, so I think you should be homosexual.

Honestly? Seriously, go back to school and stop being homeschooled. The only ones moving to change the meaning of words are the ones wanting to change it from the union of two people to the union of two people of opposite sex.
I mean, going with your logic I should be railing against you faggot christians that demand this shit because if you can change the meaning of a word, you can also change it to add "only white christians"

14 year-olds are so wise, we should let them run for president <sarcasm off now>
As for people "changing," even for a 14 year old you are naive and ignorant.

This kid is gonna go the way of Hazel Massery, I see. I really feel pity at how guilt-ridden she's going to be later in her life.

No, you haven't. How would you know if someone who was attracted to men suddenly became attracted to women or vice versa? You think they'd tell some homophobic bigot like you?

I think I feel rather sorry for this kid. 14 years old and she is clearly very deeply indoctrinated, I wonder how she'll properly function in the real world once she becomes an adult.

Neither do I. What are they missing out on?
I'm assuming someone spoon-fed this speech to this kid.

Your case must be really weak if you have to wheel out and exploit a 14 year old and have her recite a bunch of prejudiced non-arguments that you've brainwashed her with for 14 years.
What they've got in mind for Sarah is a lifetime of subservience and childbearing.

You're just parroting what your bigoted parents say. When you grow up and gain some wisdom, perhaps you'll understand that this is a freedom issue, not the courts redefining words.
