But in any case, this isn't just one isolated incident. This is consistent. The majority of people quoted here are American, in a way that is disproportionate to their actual population. If it weren't so endemic I wouldn't be going on about it. When was the last time a politician, not just some random person with an Internet connection, from outside the US got quoted here? (And if you mention ministers of Islamic theocracies, that just proves my point.)

The reason you see so many Americans in here is because America is a very large country. You can't just look at the total number of lunatics, but also the ratio of lunatics per capita.
I'm sure there are plenty of conspiracy nuts in non-English speaking countries. Except that most of the people on this site probably don't know how to read Chinese or Spanish or whatnot, so they don't visit places where those are the lingua franca.
