So... if someone represents ghetto districts, that makes them a criminal? Is there a spot back in the corner of the Senate floor where other congressmen don't go because the black senators will steal their wallets?

(Re. Members of the Republican Party being disproportionately involved in sex scandals regarding homosexuality and pedophilia.)
It couldn’t possibly be that conservative congresspersons often represent super-rich districts that are rich precisely because the people who live in them are so ethically challenged that they would rather steal other people’s wealth and livelihood than play by the rules. It couldn’t be that the only qualification for office in such districts is a guarantee to make the rich even richer and to poke minorities and the poor in the eyes whenever possible, so that even criminal lowlifes such as Lamar Smith and Grover Norquist get reelected time and time again. No, it must be a liberal conspiracy.
Fixed, and oh so gloriously.

I will match the income levels of Rangel's New York and Waters' California districts any day against the non-prosperity of lily-white wingnut reps from Alabama and Mississippi.

I grew up in the Twin Cities. Anyone who says that Keith Ellison's district is a "ghetto district" has never been there - it covers all of downtown Minneapolis. Some areas are fairly rough, but that's true of any city that size.

Dave, you would not know political corruption even if it did a no-knock raid on your house.

It couldn't possibly be that white Republican state legislators pool all black voters in majority-black districts, so as to increase white Republican representation and minimize the need to respond to black voters' concerns.
