The Rush Limbaugh controversy isn’t really that serious and proves how women have more rights than men. The question I have is; why if women are equal to men then, why can’t women be criticize as harshly as they criticize men? For example, Rush Limbaugh gets spoken about like a dog for his views. The Left calls slanders him by calling him a racist when the comments I have heard are not attacking any ethnic groups just the policies that hold colored down in the long run. I am not trying to defend rush because I personally feel that he doesn’t talk about the true cause and solutions to the problems however, I will be damned if I am just going to allow the feminist to use this to further spread misandry. Men are constantly called out our names if we have ideas that may be controversial. Therefore, why a woman can’t be called a slut? Why women are still so damned protected. It’s like how women are allowed to beat a man but as soon as he hits back he is the one who gets jumped on.

I've noted it before, but guys like this one and sites like his have now come to the attention of the SPLC. Three articles on the "manosphere" were in the Spring Intelligence Report. We need a Sexists Say the Darnedst things column, but not because these guys are funny. They're not, even when they're ridiculous. Half the world's population are people they hate. The other half are related to people they hate, and it isn't just able-bodied young women they target. Newborn infants and ninety-year-old great grandmothers have been victims of such men. It's time to call attention to who they are and what they're saying.
Comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a dumb twat (which I agree as well lol) but Bill Maher didn’t get punished for that and calling a woman a twat is worse than slut in my book.
Except that one (twat) is merely an insult and the other (slut) is slandering the reputation of Sandra Fluke by insinuating that she performs certain actions thus it is libel on top of being tasteless. If Rush had called her a twat it wouldn't be nearly as bad.

Recently in Australia two breakfast show hosts were slammed for calling an Australian soldier, wait for it....

They had to issue a formal apology and lost advertising like Limbaugh, the two hosts are considered more left wing than many hosts and they were insulting the manliest of men. Insults that are reprehensible are not about how "dirty" the words used are, it is about their meaning, what they say about the insulter rather than the insulted.
Rush Limabugh calling Fluke a "Slut" said a lot more about him, his cluelessness about society, his sexism and about patriarchy than about her. Bill Maher calling Sarah Palin a "twat" doesn't sting because it doesn't mean anything, it's a generic insult(and a pretty mild one in my books, but hey over here we got a brand of cheese called "Coon" so y'know values are different).
The biggest outrage about what Limbaugh said about Ms. Fluke was not just that he used the word "slut", but that his use of those comments to portray her as a promiscuous woman constituted such an outrageous misrepresentation of the the content of her testimony. She testified about her friend, who like other women, needed contraceptives to control ovarian cysts, and who lost her ovaries in her early thirties because her insurance didn't cover the contraceptives. Limbaugh lied and said Fluke's testimony was about her own sexual activities. She testifies about real medical issues, and Limbaugh says she's "doing three guys" every night.
He also said, repeately, that she wanted the taxpayers to pay for contraceptives, which was yet another lie. The hearing was about whether private insurance companies should be forced to cover contraceptives---nothing to do with the taxpayers.
And you always love to trot out Bill Maher as an example of similar behavior on the left whenever any of your scumbags say something disgusting (which is almost always), but there's no comparison. Bill Maher states his personal opinions, but he doesn't lie about the facts. Your side lies.

Ms. Palin is a public figure with a history of attacking others. Ms. Fluke is a simple citizen who did nothing but state a case for contraception to be covered by health insurance.
Lushbo spent days slandering Ms. Fluke by making up things that she said. Bill Maher insulted Ms. Palin because of things she did say.
Lushbo didn't apologize. His "apology" was couched in terms of an attack against "libruls" and women. He then went on to spend a few more programs whining about being forced to apologize. The way to make a genuine apology is to say "I'm sorry" and then STFU and move to another subject.
Well let's see. A woman tries to explain to Limbaugh (and by extension, the entire American chapter of the Taliban) that making birth control illegal or whatever the controversy was is a really bad idea, because some people need those pills for medical reasons. Instead of seeing this woman as a fellow human being, Limbaugh calls her a slut, with the clear implication that woman who sleeps around = slut whereas man who sleeps around = hero of masculinity. It's the double standards regarding the promiscuous that really make people angry with conservatives and accuse them of misogyny. If they were truly not sexist, then they wouldn't try to suppress women all the time, now would they? If I had such authority, I would revoke the genders of every sexist in America, because they make all men look like inconsiderate jerks who think with exactly the wrong part of their anatomy. Alas, I have absolutely no say in whether or not Republicans should be considered male.

I believe the mens rights movement has some valid points (infant circumcision being legal, men have a lot less domestic abuse and homeless shelters available to them although 75-80% of homeless people are men (source: book on social equality by Charles Hurst) and 40% of domestic abuse victims are men (British Crime Survey), men more likely to be hurt or killed in the workplace, etc), but seriously, stop with the misogynistic BS. It makes people who really are interested in mens issues look like they're angry because they can't beat their girlfriends anymore. Do everyone a favor and sew your fingertips to your hips so you can't type this shit anymore. It'll help both men and women so much.

Rush had every right to slander Fluke's reputation and the left has every right to slander his (shouldn't be too hard since he does most of this shit to himself).

Bill Maher was insulting Palin's dismal intellect with observations of her political policy, speeches, and reactions to questions. As pointed out by BrianX he doesn't have Limbaugh's sponsorship deals and their PR nightmares to worry about.

There are imbalances in male-female action/reaction/interaction, but to call it a concert effort or conspiracy makes me laugh out loud or roll my eyes depending on the occasion.

But what did Sandra Fluke do to be called a slut? She spoke up for the need for contraception? She talks about women's financial and sexual and health needs? OH NOES. How fucking awful...! Clearly Rush then needed to associate what she said with her "demanding" that other people pay for her to have sex and call her a whore and a slut. Because that's the logical leap to make, here.

Perhaps Bill Maher should not have used that type of language when referring to Sarah Palin. However, there is a big difference. Sarah Palin is a public figure who constantly slanders, demeans, and verbally attacks others with her hate filled vitriol. Maher was simply bullying a bully. Fluke, on the other hand, was simply a college student who testified before congress about a very serious issue that affects her and many other female college students. She didn't deserve the things Limbaugh said about her. It was completely uncalled for.

Ben Roberts-Smith is not just the 'manliest of men', whatever that means. He is one of only two serving members of the Australian Army which is part of the Commonwealth comprising Great Britain, Canada, New Zealand and many othe nations, to be awarded the Victoria Cross. The Victoria Cross is awarded for according recognition to persons who in the presence of the enemy, perform acts of the most conspicuous gallantry, or daring or pre-eminent acts of valour or self-sacrifice or display extreme devotion to duty.
Yumi Stynes and George Negus were just being fuckwits for their impertinent comments about him. Negus the more so because of his long and distinguished career. Stynes is just too young to recognise the stupidity of her remarks.
Bill Mahers "Sarah is a Dumb twat" is accurate and EVERY (and there's many) comments about Palins intelligence or knowledge should be taken as constructive criticism. She's an idiot and has blundered 100s of time since she hit national prominance.
Limbaugh and FoxNews and much of right-wing media attacked fluke in uncalled for, unrelated reasons with insults and personal slander to shut her up or strike fear into any other who may speak up.

Bill Maher been called on a lot of his comments and doesn't have to apologize for being right. He has gone over the line and apologizes sometimes but Rush Limbaugh is always over the line.
Jon Stewart called Rush's show "the Rush Limbaugh daily three hour meltdown" which is appropriate as it gets.
I don't get it. Because women get rightly offended over comments that slander them does it mean that they have more rights than men have?. What about the fact that they're paid less?, or that they are not covered for maternity, for example, whereas viagra is in many insurances?. Please.
