"Atheists know nothing about what they don't know"
Is English not your first language, or do you normally speak in redundancies?

Once having a long but amicable discussion with my Christian friend, we reached the point where he said something like "How do I know the devil isn't working through you?". Apparently he was perfectly serious.
It was almost a conversation-stopper. There's nowhere you can go from there.
If you deny that you're the devil, then, aha, the devil WOULD say that, wouldn't he? He is the arch-deceiver and the father of lies.
Another self-reinforcing belief that gets stronger the more you attack it. The more you use logic to dissect it, the more layers of sophistry and faulty reasoning you'll find.
This is why it can be very frustrating arguing with Christians of the born-again kind.

Atheists know nothing about what they don't know
You've got me. I must admit that I don't know what I don't know. If I knew what I didn't know then I'd know what I don't know.

You know, J. Rigney, that something other than knowing doesn't mean you don't know or can't know something other people know without knowing what you do know, you know?

I think I'll make the obvious joke and comment that someone knows nothing, but it isn't who Rigney thinks it is.

Yes, it's entirely possible, if a god exists, that theists have access to some "divine revelation of the holy spirit" that I don't (why not?) therefore my conclusions are in error and theirs aren't.
But there's no way to distinguish "divine revelation" from "personal delusion" except by referring to the external, material world, i.e. through science. So even if someone like Rigney thinks he is better informed than the atheists, he can't know so.
So in essence the difference is that atheists know nothing about what they don't know, while theists think they know all about what they don't know.

WTF?
By definition, an atheist almost CANNOT be "small minded".
Your "deciever" has bugger all to do with my being here. I was BORN, not put here by your silly fantasy chracter.

Atheists don't claim to know what they don't have evidence for. That's what fundamentalists do.
I suggest small-minded believers stop harassing atheists who mind their own business with their death threats and judgmental language.
Atheists do not believe in the deceiver. There is no deceiver. God does not exist either. There is no time to waste but one's own. This world is their happiness in life.

Id like to see you and your herd of jesus freaks discover dark matter. whats that? there is no way you could have done that? ok well how about nuclear fission? still nothing?
just because you need an imaginary friend to comfort you about the thought of your own mortality doesnt mean IM the one being decieved by some supernatural evil force. it means that YOU are delusional. but if you want to waste your one and only life huddled in fear of some deity, knock yourself out. im on my way to a hedonism party.

1. O_o Must have been garbled in transmission. Either that or you're an idiot.
2. I suggest believers shelve their wishful thinking and take a look at how things really work.
3. How can one waste the time of a fictional character? Even if God was real, how could I was the time of an omnipotent, omniscient being?

1) Well I know nothing about what I don't know in the same way that you know nothing about what you don't know, and apparently in your case, nonsensical redundancies fall under the 'don't know' file.
2) "There is just no room other than room enough for matter." Do you actually read what you type?
3) God operates outside of time, yet non-believers waste his time.
Sounds like epic fail, epic fail, and yet more epic fail.

1. Fundies, on the other hand, claim to know everything about stuff nobody actually knows.
2. We regularly kick your moronic asses in debate, so running away whimpering is, in fact, a good choice for you.
3. Yep, most of us are pretty happy - more so, at least, than a lot of bewildered and anxiety-ridden fundies. Thanks for your concern about our happiness; but if you really want to cheer us up, take a head-first dive into a wood-chipper.

"The deceiver has put them here"
According to the Bible, it is God who is the deceiver... in that he will send lying spirits to deceive the unbeliever, so that the unbeliever will NEVER believe the truth!
"Atheists are, after all, and from the beginning, broods of the deceiver."
See above...
"They are wasting God's time"
God doesn't *have* to send those lying spirits out...

Atheists know nothing about what they don't know
That's... generally how not-knowing works, yes. Good try, but real logic is a bit more tricky.
