Quote# 87094

Well, I have never been of the mind that anything was impossible...the pyramids exist, stonehenge is there, the weird faces of Easter Island can be touched....what has ALWAYS blown my mind is that evolutionists would rather attribute these things to aliens, instead of using them as proof of man-kind's intelligence, and not just opposable thumbs. They really blew it there.

What.

I've never heard, say, Richard Dawkins use aliens to explain ancient architecture. That's more Erich von Däniken's shtick, and he is a certifiable loon, not an 'evolutionist'.

Evolutionists don't attribute these things to Aliens, idiots do. Besides I'd have thought that it was the Jesus jumpers that believed in flying saucers. Same sort of thing; believing in something unseen without a scrap of verifiable evidence. communicating telepathically with your supreme being. It's the same. Just a slightly different religion brought up to date. UFO's instead of chariots.

It's important to note, that while Erich von Däniken may be a loon, he does have evidence that appears to support his theory. ID has none. So, at the face of it, ancient artifacts appear to offer more evidence for alien visitation than any religion has provided for their beliefs.

No, I don't believe in Erichs theories but at least he's done the research and found many interesting connections.

The scientific community has never attributed what you mention to anything but mans ingenuity. Now Rapturenuts, I've seen several wackadoo ideas about these posted from your site.

Maybe he's got confused with the fact that some scientists have postulated the possibility of life on Earth being "seeded" from space? Either way, this is a seriously confused individual.

What??? If anything, they're a monument to evolution, because without humans evolving the brains to figure out how to build them, they wouldn't exist.

And I don't attribute anything to aliens, because I'm not convinced they've ever visited here. Aliens have to deal with the same vast distances of space that we do, which is the main reason we haven't explored other planets.

There is as much evidence for aliens visiting the earth as there is for creationism.

When the HELL did "evolutionists" attribute these things to aliens? I thought that was the antirationality movement's agenda.

It might have something to do with the fact that the New Agey types who believe in aliens and such are often of the belief that humanity is on the verge of an evolutionary breakthrough. (Never mind that evolution doesn't work that way...)

I wouldn't be surprised if someone who is as disconnected from reality as this wingnut can't differentiate between New Age woo and actual scientific material.

Translation: I had an argument with one of the five human beings that can stand conversing with me, but tuned out halfway through and resorted to playing Mad Libs with what few words caught my attention. Then I decided everyone I similarly tune out must also think like this. I just sort of do the same thing again if they try to talk back to me. I'm so lonely...

Daniken is not only a loon, but basically a racist. He doesn't suggest that the Parthenon or the Roman aqueducts and Coliseum and the cathedrals of Europe were built by aliens...but let the locals have brown skin, and they couldn't possibly have done it themselves.

You are confusing evolutionists (like myself) with conspiracy theorists.

Some say the pyramids were done by aliens. Mass slavery, with thousands of men towing stone with ropes, built the pyramids.
