Quote# 8710

The last thing Christians need is to be thrown into pagan beliefs. There is only one true religion and that is chrisitanity. Yes there are alot of different beliefs within Christiananity, but with Gods help those will come to an end. Then the christians, all being of one mind can go out to the rest of the world and destroy religion and traditions of man.

The only time christians will be of one mind/belief is when there is only 1 of them left.

Yeah, those darn pagan beliefs. Christmas has ALWAYS been a Christian holiday!

Stupid is as stupid does.

Funny, Christianity looks a lot like a bastardized version of Judaism, with some pagan ideas thrown in on the side. It didn't do too badly when its members weren't so litiguous and power-hungry, but it's beginning to bear a frightening resemblance to what spawned Christianity in the first place.

Please try again.

I'd say they're doing a great job of undermining the credibility of God already. That's a good start.

... and rabbits and eggs, while certainly they might be symbols of the goddess Astarte, they're also symbols of Jesus' ... umm ... his ... his ... his something! Not sure what, really.

And Easter isn't a form of Astarte / Ishtar at all! It's the name of the ... the wife of the gravedigger that dug Jesus' tomb!

Yeah, that's the ticket! [/Jon Lovitz]

Uh... aren't most 'christian' celebrations complete ripoffs of pagan rituals?

This is exactly how Al - Qaida thinks.

PS. I don't know how to spell Al - Quaida.

Not always. Sometimes they just take the day. Like Christmas falls near the winter solstice because of Saturnalia. And All Saints Day is on All Hallows Eve. Y'know... fluff like that. The celebration is different, but the date is close/the same.
Sadly, now they're so confused, uneducated, and brainwashed they seem to believe that Christianity was the first religion and that no other religion had any influence on them.
It might be funny if it weren't so annoying.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle see His banners go!

He doesn't want to destroy the religious, just the religions.

I for one would join him. After all, he never specified that Christianity was exempt.

But Jesus was Jewish. So by definition, Jesus was pagan.

So, when is that God of yours going to chip in and unite all Christians into one belief, and which one is he going to choose? I bet you take for granted it's your version.

Christians are going to destroy religion?
