Quote# 87131

That's why I want you to understand that the environmental movement is fundamentally anti-human, it is fundamentally anti-human. And this bears the imprint of the Father of Lies because the Father of Lies, remember hates human beings. Why? Because we are made in the image of God. He wants to stamp out human beings because we remind him God. Well, environmentalists have the same exact agenda: they want to wipe humanity off the face of the globe. Do not be deceived about this; this is the ultimate goal of the environmentalists.

Protecting the environment to help prolong the survival of the human species is trying to destroy humans? I wish I could understand your twisted logic...in fact, I wish someone, anyone could understand your twisted logic.

So trying to save humanity, is trying to destroy humanity....
Ok.....

Ah, so its Satan who is trying to preserve potable water, breathable air and ecologic diversity.

The more you people talk about this "Satan" fellow the better he seems.

Department of Redundancy Department wants their worthlessness back.

However a whole heap of rich pastors would like to talk to you. They have bridges to sell - bridges to god!

they want to wipe humanity off the face of the globe...this is the ultimate goal of the environmentalists.

As my brother is a conservation biologist, I'd like to ask Mr. Fischer to please FOAD.

O.K...

How exactly are they anti-human?

How exactly are they trying to wipe humanity off the face of the globe?

Is this guy living in a bubble where he's never heard of any environmental problems that hurt human beings?

"That's why I want you to understand that the environmental movement is fundamentally anti-human, it is fundamentally anti-human."

Saying, "Gee, we probably shouldn't destroy the only place we have to live," is anti-human to you?

What the fuck is wrong with you?

"And this bears the imprint of the Father of Lies because the Father of Lies, remember hates human beings."

Read your Wholly Babble again. This time, tally up all the death, murder, mayhem, falsehoods, outright lies, threats, extortion, and generally deviant behavior between your precious god and Satan.

I think you'll find that it's not Satan who hates humanity.

"Why? Because we are made in the image of God."

Again, read your Wholly Babble. That's neither high praise nor, surprisingly, an inaccurate assessment given the way your god is described and the way humans tend to act.

"He wants to stamp out human beings because we remind him God."

Then why is it that nearly every time he shows up he's more helpful than your god is? The Garden of Eden being a prime example, if you take the point of view that the snake was Satan, which I'm sure you do.

"Well, environmentalists have the same exact agenda: they want to wipe humanity off the face of the globe. Do not be deceived about this; this is the ultimate goal of the environmentalists."

Their ultimate goal is to preserve our fucking home you joker.

Big Oil and the other wealthy corporate contributers that keep the GOP in office so you won't have to "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's" are not the same thing as "humanity".

Doubting Thomas

Let me wrap my brain around this for a minute... Environmentalists want to stop pollution and deforestation in order to save our environment so we'll have a healthier place to live... so they can wipe humanity off the face of the earth? How does that work? If they really wanted to destroy humanity, they'd be in favor of more pollution and deforestation and would all be Republicans.

So, a human wants to wipe out humanity? That is even dumber than the villains trying to destroy the planet they are living on.

Do learn the distinction between the environmental movement and the VHEM, yes?

I think this rambling comes from the concept among some that we should keep our numbers down somewhere below 1 billion. Which would be better, all things considered. We'd need less space for food and other resources, that sort of thing. But instead of them looking at it like 'have less babies', they seem to think it means 'kill more people'. **shrug**

What hasn't other posters said? They're right.

Apparently breathing stinky smog & drinking toxic sludge is healthy.

Pretty much every time fundies talk about Satan he seems like a pretty cool guy. Even in his few appearances in the Bible itself he was either a dutiful servant of sky daddy or more interested in freedom and truth than praising sky daddy all the time. A wonderful example of how fundies will literally demonise anything to blame for their own problems, then indoctrinate hundreds of successive generations to blindly fear it.

I'd ask Fischer to die in a fire, but if that worked he'd be in the planet's mantle by now.

No, no, no, you all misunderstand. Bryan Fischer is right, environmentalists ARE anti-human. They're against Big Oil(and the politicians and radio talk show hosts they buy), and ever since Citizens United, corporations are people, ergo environmentalists = anti-human.

Let's compare the two outcomes, shall we:

1) The conservative anti-environmentalist way of doing things. We continue to use nonrenewable resources until we run out and drive so many species to extinction that we mess up the biosphere, causing an ecological and societal collapse bringing human beings back to the pre-Industrial age, most likely indefinitely because there are no combustible materials left to start over.

2) The environmentalist way of doing things. We are responsible, use alternative energy sources, and reach sustainable levels such that we avoid a societal collapse. The modern world does not go up in flames.

Tell me which one is anti-human again?

Read Rainbow Six, did we?

The bottom line is that the Bible does not instruct us to despoil the earth, you sick, sick man.

"...the environmental movement is fundamentally anti-human, it is fundamentally anti-human."

Even saying it twice doesn't make it true.

"And this bears the imprint of the Father of Lies because the Father of Lies, remember hates human beings."

He does? That's not what the Bible says...

"Why? Because we are made in the image of God."

Yeah, the Bible says we're made in the image of god...

"He wants to stamp out human beings because we remind him God."

The father of lies wants to do that? Do you know who the father of lies is? God! Remember, he sends lying spirits to deceive the unbeliever. Satan doesn't do that, GOD DOES!

So, God wants to stamp us out because we remind him of himself... he's got some serious issues to sort out then.

EPIC FAIL, Mr. Fisher! How about you actually TALK to some REAL environmentalists, not just the evil environmentalist voices in your head?! Last time I checked, healthier environment=healthier people=improved quality of life and longevity! How the freak is THAT anti-human? I want some cold hard evidence! God created this planet and thus wants us to take care of it! How, pray tell, is THAT Satanic?!
P.S.- You owe me a new bull-crap meter!

In that case...:

...God is an ugly cunt.

Meanwhile, for everyone else on Planet Reality, this is the only planet we have (unless Bryan Fischite is prepared to fund the creation of the equivalent of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation (as in the "Alien/vs. Predator" films), that'll terraform new worlds for us to live on. Also there's just two words we have to remember: finite resources.
