Evolutionism is a philosophy, not a science. It's an open-ended, unlimited, parameter-free Theory of Everything. It disallows even the slightest exceptions, and it is constantly being modified to "explain" every new discovery. It is so vaguely and broadly defined that a fly walking up a window pane is changing its position, ergo "evolving".
It's a truth table with nothing but Ts. It is a tautology. It is NOT science.

Translation: "It won't fit within my simplistic and narrow world view, and I can't be bothered to learn the details, so I'll just condemn it instead."
I don't understand Arabic, but I'm not about to claim that it isn't a real language. Think outside your brainbox.

funny how these people are quick to call Evolution false, yet say their imaginary friend made this place, and everyone in it, and that is all the evidence they need to believe in their friend.
(I don't exactly know if evolution or ID is true, I wasn't there to witness it, so I have no moral grounding to jump to a conclusion on this subject.)
Chuck, from my reading on ID, you insert "God did it" for things that appear "irreducibly complex" and you move on. But you can apparently leave them open for discussion or research.
I can't understand the ferocious need to get it into public schools or rewrite scientific theories to provide for divine magic. If there were a better explanation, I'd like to see it.
It seems to me that these kinds of people can't get past their own religiosity that -everyone- must have a religion even if they, in fact, don't.
*sigh*
"Excellence in Application of the Scientific Method" award?
The basic theory isn't changing (much; there's the minor debate over gradualism vs. punctuated equilibrium, but that's about it), we're just filling in the historical details (the "family tree" of all life, if you will). And no, a fly walking up a window pane is not evolution.
It is constantly being modified to explain discoveries? That is the definition of science, asshat.
You have an excellent grasp of the English language, sir, and yet you seem to have no grasp of anything else. A pity your eloquence is wasted in such a manner.
Gosh...it's almost like when they get evidence, they actually look at it, and...*gasp* incorporate it, those FIENDS!
...you have no idea what anything you just said actually means, do you? Then again, considering your grasp of English, it's possible you're not an idiot - that you're being willfully ignorant, which is ten times worse. Either way, you should be ashamed. Damnable malfunctioning doombots.
Evolutionism doesn't exist. It's called evolution, and is part of the Biology field. One of its corner-stones, as a matter of fact.
All kinds of science are constantly being modified to explain every new discovery. That is what science IS, dumbass.
It is not vague, but fairly clear and precise, and it has nothing to do with changing position, but everything to do with adapting to a changing environment, through random mutations and natural selection.
You're the tautology, DD.
Confused?
