Quote# 87535

The barrage of anti-gay sermons delivered by North Carolina-based pastors to hit the blogosphere continues with yet another disturbing rant caught on tape.

The pastor, identified on YouTube as Charles L. Worley of Providence Road Baptist Church in Maiden, N.C., condemns President Obama's much-publicized endorsement of same-sex marriage while calling for gays and lesbians to be put in an electrified pen and ultimately killed off.

"Build a great, big, large fence -- 150 or 100 mile long -- put all the lesbians in there," Worley suggests in the clip, reportedly filmed on May 13.

He continues: "Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can't get out...and you know what, in a few years, they'll die out...do you know why? They can't reproduce!"

He also said that if he's asked who he'll vote for, he'll reply, "I'm not going to vote for a baby killer and a homosexual lover!" Many of the congregants cheer and reply, "Amen."

Worley added, “It makes me pukin’ sick to think about -- I don’t even whether or not to say this in the pulpit -- can you imagine kissing some man?”

The pastor's comments seem in line with statements made by Ron Baity, founding pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and head of the anti-marriage equality organization Return America, who told his own congregation that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people should be prosecuted as they were historically, and Pastor Sean Harris of the Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville who advocated parents "punch" their male child if he is effeminate and "crack that wrist" if he is limp-wristed.

Similarly, Tim Rabon, pastor at Raleigh's Beacon Baptist Church, condemned states such as Massachusetts, Connecticut and Maryland which have already "re-defined" marriage to include lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples before asking his congregatnts, "What is stopping them from refining marriage from a person and a beast? We're not far from that."

At this moment, the people of Canada, Australia, and Europe are viewing these antics over the Internet. They are conversing amongst themselves, perhaps mentioning that in their own countries, nobody cares about sexual orientation. They may even recall that Iceland had an openly gay president at one point, and that there was no controversy over this whatsoever in her country. Then, these non-Americans return their attention to what the Americans are saying. They see that in no state are minorities of any sort completely accepted as equals. They also see that no man may be elected to high office unless he professes belief in the embarrassingly primitive religion of Christianity. Furthermore, they see that this reactionary cult is fueling never ending prejudice and hatred amongst Americans. Last, but hardly least, these good people observe a major political party, one which is backed by every news station in the country, say that it is a wondrous thing for those who cannot afford medical care to die, and that public education is to be abhorred and abolished, so that only the wealthy may be knowledgeable to run the country, while the plebs are too terrified of superstition to contest their lowly place in society.

Then, the Canadians, Australians, and Europeans look back on themselves, human beings of every race, sex, socioeconomic station and sexual orientation, all equal. These forward-thinking humans look again at the benighted Americans, and see no difference between the attitudes of the Americans and the uneducated people of the savage, tyrannical countries. The non-Americans can do nothing else but shake their heads in shame.

"This is beyond disgusting. No sarcastic comment could ever make this better..."

I love a challenge. How about Barney the Purple Dinosaur?

"I love you,
You love me,
But Chucky Worley is a big stinking jerk..."

@Brendan Rizzo - Of course the extremely homophobic/racist Eastern European countries don't count as real Europeans, do they.

5/30/2012 8:58:27 AM

"They can't reproduce"

LOL! Where do you think the people you'd put behind the fence came from?

From STRAIGHT parents, you idiot, and they'd just keep being born, like they always have been.

Go sodomize yourself with a trident until blood comes off on it. Hopefully it should take one try.

I vote we start moving Rizzo's ill-informed rants to RSTDT.

Who's with me?

@ Comrade Potatovich:

No, they don't. I don't feel like listing all the Western European countries out independently.

"What is stopping them from refining marriage from a person and a beast?"

The fact that animals cannot give informed consent perhaps?

"can you imagine kissing some man?"

Depends on the man. I imagine kissing Johnny Depp all the time.

@Brendy

So, Europe only includes Brendan Rizzo-approved societies?
You know who else wanted to redefine what Europe means?
HITLER.

This was disappointing. I was hoping, at the very least, for an attempt at a popular George Carlin joke. Technically, based on this theory, homosexuality should inherently account for a percent of the population rather than around 10%.

they are getting scared - the calls for violent acts against LGBT people from these KKKristains is getting louder.

Umm, gays would die out because they can't reproduce, but somehow they already exist?

How does that work exactly, Pastor Charles?

"What is stopping them from refining marriage from a person and a beast?"

Well, first there's the matter of consent. Then there's the lack of a point. You're dog can't really have power of attourney, and you're not exactly going to be combining your incomes, are you?

"He continues: 'Do the same thing for the queers and the homosexuals and have that fence electrified so they can't get out...and you know what, in a few years, they'll die out...do you know why? They can't reproduce!'

You realize, of course, that if you separated straight men and women into two groups the same fucking thing would happen, right?

"Worley added, 'It makes me pukin’ sick to think about -- I don’t even whether or not to say this in the pulpit -- can you imagine kissing some man?'

I would guess that at least half of your audience--you know, the women--can, indeed, imagine kissing a man.

You probably do quite often as well.

"The pastor's comments seem in line with statements made by Ron Baity, founding pastor of Berean Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and head of the anti-marriage equality organization Return America, who told his own congregation that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people should be prosecuted as they were historically,"

Does this go for Christians also, because we used to feed your useless asses to lions for entertainment.

"and Pastor Sean Harris of the Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville who advocated parents 'punch' their male child if he is effeminate and 'crack that wrist' if he is limp-wristed."

Uh huh. And when you get your ass beat by him, then what? Your body will be broken by his fists and your worldview that all gay men are effeminate girly-men who can't fight back will be broken by having your ass beat by one.

"What is stopping them from refining marriage from a person and a beast? We're not far from that."

You keep your sick fantasies to yourself, pal.

Oh lord. This puta. I've been crazy busy for the past few weeks but I knew this would be here when I finally got back on.
I hate to use him in this way, but sometimes I hope that my gay brother could have been isolated from hateful, bigoted, fucked up assholes like you. Maybe he wouldn't have killed himself then.
Fuck you. Fuck you. FUCK YOU.

I'm glad he said this. I'm glad he's talking, I really am. That all of Worley's supporters are speaking their minds as loudly as this, and I want them to continue. I want people who think like him to feel free to scream their message to everyone willing to listen. I really do. And do you know why?

Because now, thanks to the absolute miracle that is the Internet, this is going to stick to them for the rest of their careers like shit to a blanket. This is going to be what defines them for the rest of their lives, like Father Charles Coughlin's antisemitism or Joe McCarthy's anti-communist hysteria. It's going to follow them everywhere they go, no matter what they do, and they're never, ever going to live it down. It's going to brand them forever as people who should be ignored, and their most ardent boosters likewise.

People should only start worrying when people like this start keeping their mouths shut in public, and start sharing their true feelings and true plans only with other people just like them. THOSE people are truly dangerous, because they move in the shadows where no one is looking.

Yeah I went there.

@ Tempus' pic: ...(tilts head) ...What the hell is that?

@ "Pastor" Worley:
1. As everyone else has said, gay people are conceived by straight people. It's a genetic thing. Gay people will only stop being born when ALL people stop being born, and then there goes humanity!

2. Mayhap the recent upswing in gay rights and happiness and whatnot is God's way of saying He's alright with having them around now?

3. Do us all a favor and go get eaten by a Thresher Maw. ...Or would that be cruelty to the Maw?
