The Sturmabteilung logo of nascent Nazis is easy to confuse with the logo of the Black Bloc, which is the most prominent element of the Democrat Party-endorsed Occupy Wall Street movement:

Their tactics are even more similar, as the OWS crowd documented for all to see in San Francisco recently. Given leftists’ tendency to project, their habit of calling their enemies fascists suggests that the “99%” are fascists. This conclusively confirms it[...]
Damage came to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Rendered useless by the liberal authorities giving the orders, police did nothing other than take it on the chin, even as their vehicles and station were attacked by the mob of collectivist thugs.

Generally speaking, it's considered good form to not speak upon a subject of which you have little to no knowledge.
Just tossing that out there.
Also: first, FWIW.
"Given leftists’ tendency to project, their habit of calling their enemies fascists"
Have you been to a tea party rally?
At least when OWS uses the term fascist they can define what the word means and actually have the right side of the political spectrum in mind.
No no no , it's the far right who project. By this logic, you have proved that YOU are a fascist, Mr. Blount. After all, was it not Mussolini who supported the merger of state and corporate power?
I'm more worried about how Blount might think that something approaching an *actual* 99% is "fascist", at least in the sense of an enemy of the American Way. I'm not sure whether it's being enamored of the idea of being part of a persecuted righteous remnant, or the idea that no more than a tiny sliver CAN be prosperous and the rest are doomed to be either envious or fatalistic (q.v. George Kennan's 1950s memo that the United States should STRIVE to stay the envy of the world in having a disproportionate amount of the world's wealth), or both.
They really DO want to be as gods, I guess...
Wait; if according to you 'leftists' project, and are thus Nazis, couldn't you be projecting yourself?
After all, right wing philosophy is closer, though not particularly similar to, Nazism.
I wonder if this person really believes this, or if he is just deliberately spreading disinformation. In the first case, he's woefully ignorant, in the second, he's disgustingly dishonest. FOR THE RECORD:
1. The SA logo is not at all like the Anarchist A.
2. The Black Bloc is the not the most prominent element of Occupy.
3. The tactics of Occupy are not similar to those of the SA.
4. Occupy are not fascists. The writer is the one who is projecting.
5. There is a fundamental difference between the far left (Anarchism) and the far right (Nazism). They are in fact represent the polar opposite ideals of egalitarianism and elitism.
"Damage came to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Rendered useless by the liberal authorities giving the orders, police did nothing other than take it on the chin, even as their vehicles and station were attacked by the mob of collectivist thugs."
Tell that to my girlfriend who was clubbed over the head by a cop at an OWS rally. Cunt.
When our opponents call us fascists, doesn't that prove that they're actually the true fascists?
NOTE: Us calling them fascists because they called us fascists doesn't make us fascists. Duh.
@Brendan Rizzo
Again, i have to point out that the left in this country has done far more towards the end of merging the state with corporations. The OWS movement, i feel, started out with admirable, all be it, lofty ideals, has become a protest for the sake of protest with no clear aim and nothing but awareness of the protest achieved. The tea party in the same way began as a quasi libertarian stance on financial matters and wound up high jacked by the far right evangelicals.
@mech610
I dont align myself with OWS whatsoever, but I am of the opinion that police are modern day clergy class who's motives and actions are rarely scrutinized. I truly am sorry for your girlfriend. And if i can assign one positive to the OWS movement, its that it exposed these un-touchable thugs for what they are. I just wish it didn't take martyrs in the form of people like your girlfriend. I hope she is ok.
I have no idea what he's on about, but that logo on the left is totally badadss.
Oh, dear. Am I a Nazi now?
Confused?
