She didn't seem to get it either. After people pointed out that the two are unrelated she didn't have a very good reason for how that makes sense.

The poster's train of thought as the thread progresses is mind boggling

There's just the slight problem that chemicals aren't organisms.

I hope you realize that evolution has nothing to do with the chemical formula for water.

Hmmmm, what about the isotopes of water?

Keep the fuck out of a career in Nuclear Physics for the sake of the enitre Eastern Seaboard.

To quote someone else's schtick here:

\"If you don't know what you're talking about, shut up!\"

And this is definitely one of those situations!

Never heard that H2O is an arbitrary convention for naming an inorganic component?

Haven't you heard? Water was replaced worldwide by Hydrogen Oxide, or Oxygen Hydrate, depending on where you're swimming.

Heavy water
Making water
Water on the brain
Mouth watering
Eye watering

Let's make the water turn black.

No. No. No no. No. No no no. Just...no.

No, no, that's dihydrogen monooxide you are talking about there.

Actually, the unique structure of water gives it certain properties that made the origin of life possible.

Still, fundies would definetly call this a "design by God", so it doesn't really help us.

An inability to distinguish two different fields of science -- I should have realized there's no floor to ignorance.

Someone should send her an email describing polywater, without mentioning it was a lab mistake, then suggest she read Cat's Cradle. Wonder if she likes gaslight :-)
