Quote# 88251

I am still waiting on a large company to come out and endorse "Christians"! Will it ever happen? Why just do this for the gay community.

Because you are not persecuted for being Christian. You are however mocked for being an idiot.

Because christians are 78% of the population and therefore it is necessary to segment your demographic using different criteria, like age, race, sex, geographical area, urban/rural, education, occupation, etc. Don't worry, there ARE thing taylor-made for you. Virtually everything you buy, for instance, plus a whole political party in the business of selling bigots' votes to rich people.

Well of course. Christians are a persecuted minority and they aren't allowed to marry someone of the opposite sex because of a law passed by atheist homos called "The Defense of Marriage Act".

Think about the Christians!!!

It will happen the day after a large company comes out and endorses "white people".

Turalura, dearie, you're the MAJORITY (at least in the US)! You don't need endorsing or extra support; you already have it made, idiot.

Domino's Pizza. But their founder was Catholic, so that probably doesn't count at RR.

Good question. Why don't companies in the US raise awareness for white people either? I mean, how are we supposed to know that white people and Christians even exist if they're not mentioned in commercials? White people and Christians are the two unsung minorities in the US.

So not only are the fundies ignoring the evidence contrary to their beliefs (on most scientific matters), they're also ignoring the evidence that supports them (the fact that there's about five zillion companies that aren't shy about their Christian foundation).

No, didn't see that coming at all!

This is particularly hilarious when they claim that successful big companies are successful due to Christian-Conservative work ethic and political views. Suddenly those companies completely vanish when the debate requires that. "Oh, all companies supporting gay marriage now! You won't see Christian companies anywhere, no!"

Yeah, what company in their right mind would want to pander to 80% of people in the country?

Idiot. Businesses often cave in to boycotts from Christian groups.

Oh, but you want a business to cater especially to Christians? I guess you've never heard of For All Bible. Not only do they have a web presence, I've seen their stores in various malls. And I guess you've never seen that "God's love" commercial put out by Interstate Batteries (which can be found here at fstdt).

"Why just do this for the gay community."

Because they're an underserved market share that's now "safe" to market to without ridicule, shareholder backlash, or public outcry (except for a small segment of lunatics such as Rapture Ready).

Seconded to everyone who brought up Chik-Fil-A. They're not even open on Sunday, for fuck's sake. And they got a prominent placement in one of Kirk Cameron's crappy come-to-Jesus movies.
