Evolution never says that man came from monkeys at all. It does say that we share a common ancestor with the other primates, though. BTW, apes aren't monkeys. Also, evolution isn't about the origin of life either. It is about the origin of species. Abiogenesis is about the origin of life so creationist's objections that evolution excludes god is a load of crap.
