Quote# 8847

Evolution as monkey into man, stuff like that, I just can't believe that. The Bible is the breath of God and that is what I believe. No matter what proof you show me, it just wouldn't be made real in my life.Without God, you will perish whether you believe in evolution or not!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, at least she's honest. Refusal to believe despite overwhelming evidence, but absolute willingness to believe with no evidence.

Just Rick

This only goes to show what mentality you are up against when facing off against a fundy.

If I may be so bold, I would nominate this for the \"written in stone\" award because no matter what you say, show, or prove their beliefs will not change because they are written in stone to them.

Some call it 'invincible ignorance'.

Darth Wang

Now THAT's a wall of ignorance.

King Spirula

Can you imagine people of this ilk on a jury? \"Well your honor, he just looked guilty the first time I saw him, and that was good enough for me\".

1/4/2006 9:10:40 PM

Just Rick

Imagine it? People like this are a fact, especially with 80% of this country believing religious crap in one form or another. I'm sure that more than 1 person has been sentenced simply because a fundy couldn't see around his own dogma.

1/4/2006 10:00:28 PM

The bible is the breath of god, eh? I'd like to see the organs god uses to aspirate/respirate that!

1/5/2006 12:53:04 AM

I have to say it.

1/5/2006 1:25:29 AM

\"The Bible is the breath of God\"

And what a stench it left...

1/5/2006 1:11:17 PM

<<< Some call it 'invincible ignorance'. >>>

I've also heard it described as \"Ferrous Cranus\" (see the Flame Warriors site at http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/ferouscranus.htm ).

1/5/2006 4:40:27 PM

Got news for ya, everybody's going to perish no matter what they believe.

1/8/2006 1:59:45 PM

Evolution never says that man came from monkeys at all. It does say that we share a common ancestor with the other primates, though. BTW, apes aren't monkeys. Also, evolution isn't about the origin of life either. It is about the origin of species. Abiogenesis is about the origin of life so creationist's objections that evolution excludes god is a load of crap.

\"I see no good reasons why the views given in this volume should shock the religious sensibilities of anyone.\" -- Charles Darwin, The Origin Of Species, 1869.

Thief of Time

Maybe its just me, but did anyone else expect there to be a 1, possibly even an 11, after those !'s?

1/9/2006 1:33:44 AM

Well, you can't argue with willful ignorance like this. ...

1/9/2006 11:36:49 AM

Jesus Christ

I'd bet she'd be a great ride. All that hysteria and excitement, indeeed. :D

\"GOD!!!!!!!!\" Yeah, baby.

1/12/2006 3:04:16 AM

Honesty from this one.

1/14/2006 5:18:27 PM

HEY this is a forum for intellegent conversation so lets give any person with evidence and not a handful of day old shit speak.....so you dumb ass fundies get they hell out

1/16/2006 2:33:57 AM

okay, so what exactly do evoltionists beleive?

1/31/2006 9:59:21 PM

Translation: \"I want to remain ignorant! I just want! I can't make it without God if I'm too stupid to realise that the validity of my religion has nothing to do with the Theory of Evolution!\"

Sinister Minister

Why is this rated less than 5? Seriously???

5/20/2007 9:16:32 PM

Hate to break it to you: if you believe in God you will also perish someday. Tough luck.
