OK, I'm actually prepared to believe this one. Best explanation for bronies I ever heard.

Paranoid: not really
7/22/2012 6:47:42 AM
I think my brain just malfunctioned.
7/22/2012 6:54:39 AM
Oh come on! It's the first cartoon with actual plot lines and a real attempt at character development in years! It also has Derpy!
You cannot deny the Derpy Hooves.

I don't think this is supposed to be a serious conspiracy theory.
Also, Rarity is best pony and no brainwashing was needed to get me to admit that.
7/22/2012 7:10:37 AM
As far as I'm concerned that is the best use of brain-washing ever. All hail Celestia!
7/22/2012 7:35:17 AM
^^ Look, it's a damned good series, and I'm not ashamed to be a brony.
As for the posting...consider where it came from.

At Moonfront Republic, we have people telling us how to run the country who can't even spell "Senator".
7/22/2012 8:23:09 AM
If the CIA wanted more funding for its mind control program wouldn't it be easier to use it on the Senator?
7/22/2012 8:39:50 AM
Derpy is best mommy, I think we can all agree on that. Best pony is hard to say. Hint: It's Luna. Luna. Especially English Renaissance Luna.

Percy Q. Shunn
OK, I'll bite; just what exactly do you want done about Chief Justice Roberts? He's the guy you feverishly masturbated about when Bush nominated him. Has he not done what you expected? Has he not made decisions on the Constitutionality of every case put before the Supreme Court?
7/22/2012 9:04:40 AM
Oh come on, this is actually pretty funny. Even more so in that RKae can't properly spell. I don't think he was being serious.
7/22/2012 9:12:20 AM
I don't know if this is a joke or not, but it sure is funny! BTW, you misspelled "Senator".
7/22/2012 9:14:27 AM
This is pretty damn funny.
7/22/2012 9:31:55 AM
Actually, "Bronies" are a pretty good argument for the existence of mind control. That's the only way I can explain the phenomenon. And I'm not talking about guys who just watch "My Little Pony," I mean the ones who go to conventions and dress up as their favorite characters.
7/22/2012 9:43:14 AM
I'm actually inclined to believe this. A man's pride and bravado is the most powerful force known to humankind next to the wrath of a woman scorned, and yet a nominally good show for little 6-year-old girls can defeat that? I don't buy it. Not for a minute. There has to be something more to it than that.

The shackles of "masculinity" are being cast off. Viva la revolution!
7/22/2012 12:13:51 PM
Nope -- I sort of agree with this one.
And the first cartoon with a plot and real attempts at character development in years? Man, you need to see more anime.
7/22/2012 2:10:04 PM
I doubt that this is true. That being said, I really, really hope it is. Not because I think there's anything wrong with being a fan of MLP, but because it would be pretty funny.
7/22/2012 3:14:52 PM
The fist western cartoon that's actually any good since MEGAS XLR.
7/22/2012 3:20:26 PM
Okay, this is the funniest damn conspiracy theory I have ever heard.
@Doubting Thomas: There are weird people like that in every fandom, I think. It's just more noticeable in some of them.
7/22/2012 3:23:16 PM
@filin de blanc
Rarity? Screw that fat whore.
7/22/2012 3:47:38 PM
No love for Avatar: the Last Airbender?
7/22/2012 5:02:30 PM
Filin De Blanc
"Rarity? Screw that fat whore."
How dare you insult the fair lady's honour!?
7/22/2012 5:20:55 PM
I admittedly don't get the whole brony thing, but don't we all have certain beloved shows/books/games that we're a little too old for? Don't be so quick to judge.
That said, this is a really witty quote.
