Tell us what? Weren't you nutjobs the ones ranting that CERN was going to open the gates to hell once the collider was turned on even though it had been used for months before you even found out it existed?
Besides, CERN is the main reason the internet model is useable across the globe without having to pay one single provider. They put their version of it into the public domain before anyone could privatize it(the model for the internet has many contemporary sources, there is no single person or group responsible for its rise on a global scale). I'd say that's a good show of their ethical conduct as a whole.

And keep in mind as well that you can fry a computer with a decent-sized EMP, like from, oh, I dunno, a nuclear explosion. And yet somehow he seems to think they need to be plugged in for that to happen, which is news to me given how little current you need to short out a MOSFET.
