Quote# 88903

Executions only take a lot of time and resources today, because there are so few of them today.

In the old days, executions were carried out fairly quickly, cheaply, and took very little resources.

After we execute the first 10 or 20 thousand women and doctors, the executions will go quite smoothly and quickly.

I dont know if the number of abortions will decrease(except in the cases of repeat offendors- there wont be any), that is speculation, but if fewer women have abortions because of the death penalty, if more women choose to use birth control, then all the better.

The war on drugs takes a lot of time and resources because we dont execute offendors. You cant compare apples and oranges. Not the same thing.

You should be thankful that willful, ignorant stupidity is not a death sentence crime - you would be at the top of list.

You also cant(sic) compare sane human beings and fundies.

For... I shoulda known better than to hope we'd get more non-violent ones. That this cur would butcher women and doctors in the 5 digit range and then have the gall to say they should have used birth control while zealots like her hamper efforts to give children sex education and access to that very same birth control gets on my nerves. And that's before the whole non violent drug crimes thing gets included.

You must be pro-life.

Okay, I thought this was just pro-death penalty, but the death penalty for abortions? "Repeat offendors[sic]?" First of all, it isn't even a crime. Secondly, ABORTION IS NOT THE SAME AS MURDER.

Why is it no surprise to me that "pro-life" people are in favor of killing people?

Sure you don't want also kill the men who impregnated these women as well? I mean just to be sure you get all the guilty people and send a clearer message.

Pro-life? Hardly. Pro-fetus, perhaps, but 'pro-life' is quite a stretch, especially given that bloodthirsty, typed-with-one-hand rant of yours.

Judges of People's Republic of China and 1700-1800's England called, they want their sentencing philosophy back.

If "pro-lifers" want the Blooy Code and Chinese Penal Code, I don't want to know what Penal Code the anti-lifers want.

Since when are we executing people for a legal medical procedure?
If stupidity were a capital offense the gallows would be running non-stop in some parts of the USA.

8/11/2012 7:38:41 AM

Ok, so let me get everything in order here: you want to execute doctors who perform abortions, women who get abortions, and drug offenders (I'm guessing both dealers and users).

What would Jesus think?

As long as we're talking about a hypothetical scenario about capital punishment with crude methods no longer considered acceptable, I'd recommend the classics:

Be careful about what you wish for, Robespierre.

People who call for extremely strict laws and wide-spread capital punishment can easily find themselves on the wrong end of the needle.

The war on drugs? What about mis-use of perscription medication, dear Susanann?

Once the cork is pulled from the bottle, I bet it would be very easy to go through your bio and find two or three offences per annum which could be deemed worthy of capital punishment.

Ever spank your kids? Cheat on your taxes, no matter what amount? Drive over the speed limit? Drive with too much alcohol? Late for church?

Who says you get to decide what would be a capital offense? You could find yourself on death row in no time. No, not death row, right off to the gallows, quickly, cheaply, and with very little resources.

Put up a gallows outside of small claims court and execute all traffic offenders, immediately. That will make the streets safer. Very pro-life.

Execute all housewives who mis-use perscription drugs and kill the doctors who filled out the perscription right along with them, not to mention the drug store owners.

Wow, I could go on for hours. Kill, kill, kill.

@ Checkmate

I was going to make a quip about another person referencing the gallows, but I looked it up and it seems they do still use it in New Hampshire and Washington.
