Actually you little asshole, she's a victim of abuse. As a victim of abuse myself, emotional and physical ((At the hands of my mother when I was a teenager)) I can tell you that I was very very quick to try and forgive her or to wave away what happened with a comment like 'she didn't mean it' or 'that's not like her at all'. The fact is, it was her fault. It was her fault that she drank, it was her fault that she took her pent up rage out on me. It's the same with this case. The girl is not at fault, neither is her boyfriend, it's her parents fault and no one else's but she wants to take the blame because they're her parents and she still loves them. The victims of abuse don't blame the abuser, they blame themselves, because often the abusers are their parents, and how could parents that love them do something like that unless they've done something wrong to deserve it.
Think before you type such an idiotic, misinformed comment you little shit. I will await the apology that you'll never give.
((P.S. My mother has gotten better, she's stopped drinking altogether and our relationship is now much better then it was when I was a child.))
I did read the article, now read my comment you piece of trash. Abuse victims often blame themselves for it. It's actually considered a variation on Stockholm Syndrome. It doesn't make her spineless, it makes her a typical abuse victim. Just because you don't understand that doesn't mean the problem is her, it's with you.
