Maybe the pyramid is hiding an alien device deigned to steal the energy from our sun, put there by a race of giant, transforming robots from the planet Cybertron.

Oh! Oh!
A movie abomination that hasn't been mentioned!
Maybe the pyramid is actually a spaceship holding the bodies of the ancient alien archaeologists from another dimension?

Please tell me this is some kind of viral marketing campaign for a new Stargate DVD.

Were some pyramids actually designed by alien ‘gods’ that created a worldwide network of advanced city-states based on their superscience?
No.

"Were some pyramids actually designed by alien ‘gods’ that created a worldwide network of advanced city-states based on their superscience?"
This theory has never made sense to me.
There's no denying that the pyramids were an amazing achievement.
But personally I think that aliens capable of interstellar travel would have built something even more awe inspiring.
Especially when you consider modern day buildings like the Burj Khalifa, which were built without the benefit of this so called alien superscience.

Suvorov loves you. He loves you with a love greater than that of a brother, knowing that the two of you are joined by bonds that only Discworld fans may know.

I never got the „pyramids have to be something special“-CTs. The pyramid form is one that happens almost automatically as soon as you start piling stones or other things on another. It’s basically a mound with the sides a bit straightened. When small kids build sand castles they start with this form, FFS!
Also, I hear your Stargate, Transformers, Indiana Jones and Pterry references and raise you one “The Fifth Element”…
